    I got this feeling we have a few TWD Op's now who actually want to change something. Obviously they are in dire need of help from the community on what change would benefit the zone most. We'll start with a few small changes/proposals and work from there. I need a helpful forum moderator to start a poll for the following changes:

    -Removing full-charges / energy depletes from TWDD and TWJD
    -Changing the TWJD map to the TWLJ one

    First lets look at the Full charge removal pro's:

    -People can no longer rely on invisible greens when they run around the map
    -The game is fair for everyone
    -Cheaters can't boost across the map and shoot you in the head

    Con's:

    -People can't run across the map and green

    I'm in a bit of a hurry, but pretty much any well established player will agree with me on this one.

    Changing the TWJD map to the TWLJ one:

    As many of you are aware, the only games worth watching or caring about are the TWL ones. Since TWL is the ultimate competition in the zone I feel TWJD should help the population to get more used to the map. Since this is not a big change, you might ask why it is needed. There are other reasons too, for example, the top corners being completely useless, resulting in easy kills for no reason.

    As I mentioned earlier I am in a bit of a hurry but make a poll for these two ASAP, the results will speak for themselves.

    Definitely agree with the removal of full charges and energy depletes. I kind of like the twjd map but it does make sense to have it be the same as the lj map since twd's supposed to be training for twl, right? dffjhkghv

      There's really no reason to have the same maps for TWL and TWD, they are two different leagues, and TWD is a excellent league to test new maps in. In fact I would suggest updating the current TWD maps. Having different maps makes TWL only more special.

        been waiting on the maps to match up for years now. totally agree on the useless corners.

        i don't dd often, but i still agree on removing fc's. random luck shouldn't enter into the equation during competitive play.

        lastly, how's about we fix this god awful bot crashing problem? it's really gotten out of hand lately. multiple crashes per day.

            This is just a minor thing, but Arobas can you add some more player statistics to the twd page.

            It would be nice with some stats for basing that had average playtime in a game, and average kills per minute. Stats are fun!

              I would love to see new maps in TWJD arenas, a more open version such like the TWLJ map.

              Full charge greens should definitely be removed as well, that has been proposed several times and is an easy fix to do with a sysop. And by easy I mean it literally takes 10 seconds to do it per arena..

              More statistics would be nice as well, such as show average team kills per round (JDs), spawn deaths (in JD and DD), average kills in all leagues and so on. Not sure how easy/hard it is to implent all of those, though..

                For the stats, I'm gonna see what I can do, but there is some limit as what the bot record.

                  Definitely agree to remove fc greens. It's fun getting a fc green and blasting someone in the face, but it's not fun getting an energy depletion green and then getting raped. Remove both please.

                  I don't play twlj, so I don't really care about the maps being the same. It would be fun to have the maps change every now and then, but if you're going to argue that TWD is the place to test maps then start altering the maps some. They have been the same for years.

                  Also the first stat you should make is RPD. It's included at the end of the game and in the showgame statistics link at the end of games, but not under the statistics page. As always keep up the good work arobas.

                      yes to both. Removing fc greens takes away random luck (plus i never get full charges when i run for a green...bastards) and it removes any speculation of cheating i.e. we can see if vys really is that good at greening.

                          I'm going to add this idea because I firmly believe it is the most attainable and useful goal that we can set in order to make sure that any new players that come to TW end up liking and staying in the game. We must make a serious attempt to improve the first 5 minutes of a newbies experience. I can't code and may be useless in this endeavor, but if there is anything I can do to help I would love to. It may seem like a thankless job because on first glance a tutorial will not help any of the players who are reading this, but in fact it will by helping to bring fresh players and keeping the TW community in a constant state of growth instead of decline.

                          Sorry to double post, but I couldn't agree with this idea more. Go to Death Star Battle and ?go tutorial and you'll see what TW is missing. I was lucky in that my irl friends introduced me to the game, I'm not sure what someone alone would think if they joined TW, got put in a small pub and couldn't find anything to kill in those first five precious moments.
