  • New Map? ?go twjd4

    Alot of people have been asking for something different, twjd,twjd2,twjd3 will remain the same map, that will probably never change.

    I've added twjd4 its slightly different but close to the current twjd map, major change is the top part of base, Alot of people say it doesnt get used enough, and 90% of time you die from geting stuck. So i've tried to make it easier to manuever around, but not adjust the outer part of the tiles like the twlj map. Ive also added a few little personal touches, I hope you enjoy and please respond with your thoughts. I thought a little difference is just what we need to get rid of some of the monotony.

    I didnt check the map yet, but if people like this change shouldnt it be implemented to twjd,2,3 also? :fear:

      Don't want to offend you but I don't like

      1. the general look of the map

      2. It's too easy to enter the top part. People who say they get stuck are people who suck at jav, it's doable to enter those parts quick and easy and if you do, you get rid of your opponents and get safe. So creating holes which makes it easy for fat fucks to fly in is ridiculous.

      3.Entering the base: again too much space, so you can't trap someone or someone won't die when you fire a bomb towards the entrance (lev).




      So seriously, I don't like it, keep it only in TWJD4 don't apply it to the other maps. This is perhaps ''fun'' to host as an event.

        Everyone's entitled to there opinion. That's why I asked for comments. hence this post I don't expect everyone to like it.

        Don't you ever get bored of playing the exact same thing over and over again ? A little different challenge couldnt possibly hurt.

        It's the exact same as twjd twjd2 twjd3. Except the added tiles between side entrances and middle entrances. More of a trap for once in base you cant go out an around. Why dont you explain how you would change the entrance , Im open for more tile editing.
        I kept it simple so the map could be edited with ssme. Not that dcme is hard.

        I guess it would all depend on the responce it got, but no it's mainly just something different for the off season. Instead of constantly uploading maps back and forth, its easier to move a bot around. If everyone hates it then we swap the map out with something different. I'm not gonna force it onto the players.

          Witness...while your at it...could you also possibly make one new map for twdd which is smaller in size. Say in twdd4. Just make it so its smaller than the current map in order to prevent too much running and promote teaming. A square shape would be cool. Also, in the near future I see 3 on 3 as a viable option. If that is the case then this map could be used for those dds. Just a thought.

            Unfortuntly at the current time I dont wanna bug the bot guru's for possible spawn changes on GO GO GO! until there caught up with the current bot fixes. In other words I'm limited to the damage I can do making a smaller twdd map , unless you like angles in your twdd map.

              I haven't seen it yet, but how about making the space on top a bit more difficult to fly through. So skilled pilots can go through, and those not yet skilled can develop these maneuvering skills.

              The point on top was that people died 90% of the time, we shouldn't make it a surefire way to escape. Let's simply add a tough escape route that a determined pilot can fly through.

                I havent had a chance to look yet but I hope you're not talking about the sides of the top that are like this // \\. Nothing more gratifying than escaping someone through those, especially when you come in at them at an odd angle.

                Also, I vote this map be capable of 3vs3 for no points. No sense in not letting people play 3vs3.

                  Love it. Though I would like to see more tight holes:P like they got in belim. Cuz they take greater skill to fly trough.

                      havent played on it yet, but it looks much more open, and people would be even more succeptible to strays...

                      will comment once ive played on it.

                        Well Witness a way you could get around the spawn changes would be to just keep the safe zone how it is and then change the map in accordance with the twdd map spawn coords (and radius)

                        for instance...

                          The safe zones don't have to be connected, and if your going to try something new, try one of the boxes from ?go #duel as a prototype for a new dd arena, some pretty good ideas in there and it used to be a popular arena before ?go duel got automated.

                              Im trying to think of ways around that without using a bot.. the only thing I could think of is having a regular TWBot in the twdd arena and making the safe zone area a "hotspot" so that the players all warp into the main arena when getting "warped" out into the spawn zone right outside the safe.. you all warp on top of each other.. shouldn't be hard to find the coordinates exactly.

                              Anyways, just have an asteroid or a bar in a square around where they warp into outside of the safe, that is the hotspot and have that warp them to the new "spawn" coordinates in the corners of the smaller maps. It would work I am pretty sure.
