it is now ready for twd! anyway, here's the jist of it...

games can be played from 5v5 to 8v8.
you can add wbs, spids, or lancs,
you must add 1 of each ship type.
two subs, one !switch, and one !change allowed.
players specced at 10 deaths, last team standing wins.


any and all criticism is appreciated, hopefully we can get this started up soon and see if it works out.

so we did several test games today.. i think the new map works pretty well, better than the open one atleast. right now i am learning towards keeping warbird instead of removing it. i'd like to see a basing squad play a dueling squad in this to see if it really is as over powered as some people are saying. i think with the right strategy warbirds can be handled pretty easily

a couple people suggested limiting to 1 warbird. thoughts on this?

love this idea and the map that's up right now. keep wb, it can be countered by the lanc and the spider is a great support ship.

I dig the twfd. I think it could really catch on and be a good addition to twd. I'd just like to see levi added in as an option. Would probably ruin it, but nice to try things out. All in all, after playing a round of twfd I liked it. gj flared. Maybe slightly more open for the arena, too.

If TWFD does indeed become its own league, i would like to formally propose that it be given the name TWDD (Dueling Division) and that the existing TWDD be renamed to TWWD (Warbird Division).
The only reason it is still called TWDD is because it was the first tw league, and that there was no accepted naming convention at the time.
Naturally, many dd vets (usually conservative) would vehemently oppose this idea for no real reason. (Why change tradition?)
I am still not 100% supportive of it even being called dd now, because dueling directly corresponds to 1v1 duels...
