my propose: old elim back(i'll recode it by reverse engineering), the elim that priit created, everyone starts with rating of 500, then increases and get stable according with k:d and when k+d >= 500
of course i'm goin to use some crazy logn formula to excite the players and get harder and harder to rank. this means !resetscore won't exist anymore too, just will each after twd ends, twdt, etc.
and there will be a relation with the pub money

Devise a new rating system, do some cash prizes, map winners, monthly updates on stats, all that good crap. Give people a reason to be motivated to play.

They certainly need to be combined. There aren't enough people on these days to keep both populated and active. Also, the streaks can stay. In fact, they would be more meaningful because someone might have to win a warbird elim and then a jav elim. Another bonus would be that people might actually get good at more than their comfort ship. I personally think it would be perfect... It would be foolish not to.

Good 2 have a message that reminds oldies to pick some newbies, but yeah, implementing the pub bux into ?go base would be nice too. Should add some sort of system to wbduel, javduel, elim, and baseelim too.

baseelim's activity came as a sacrifice to .?go javs though, i wasn't around when elim and baseelim were combined so I wouldnt know but i just think that people would get pissed if they have to spec and wait on what they want to play if combined

Unless it does. I already get sick of waiting for a long belim to end, start browsing the web, and inevitable completely lose interest in game and never even play belim. If I have to now wait for fucking warbirds, when I know damn good and well they could be playing at the same time I am, and not have to wait, I'm just not going to do it.

This is not an upgrade AT ALL it is a BAD downgrade. Stop trying to force people to do things they do not want to do.

Just because you cant think of any incentives to make them play elim, does not mean "well fuck it we'll take away other things they like to make them do things they dont like" is a good ideas, its fucking retarded.


Put elim and belim in the same arena, and have the games run separately.

Which makes more sense to you?

Giving people a reason to idle and do nothing and potentially log off the game while they wait for a game they havent wanted to play in 10 years to end.

OR

Giving people an OPTION to play a game while another game is happening, making it slightly more likely they stick around, and not log off, or go browsing the web etc.

If people want to play in more than one ship and become a 2 leaguer or w/e then its their choice. You cant force people to try other ships if they don't have any interest in doing so. But this isnt why this thread was made lol...trying 2 get elim up and booming again. People dont even go afk there like they used to.
