Idea for TWD site

Uou could add simple squad forums to every twd squad there is. That means whichever player that is rostered to the squadron and logged in may be able to view the tab 'squad forums' (right after squad history tab) where members might share some information regarding recruits, match times, etc. No need to add any sort of downloads, polls, etc. Just simple post'n'reply options.

Any thoughts?

Couldn't agree more... It would allow better squad communication, especially with twl being right around the corner.

i think we can all agree that there needs to be a way that TWD caps can pass messages along to their minions.

How about this: A Messagebot in game picks up those quick messages on these TWD Squad Forums (like how squad matches statistics are transfered to and from the TWD Site) and stores them in game for whenever a member of such squadron logs on. When a squaddie logs on, they'll be prompted to read the message. Depending on how long the message is, the bot can either display it right there in game or redirect towards the TWD Site or both.

I like the idea but it's just clutter if you don't make the connection between the site and the game. You must create the usefulness and force it into the people's day-to-day rather than expect people to start using it.

i suggested years ago that the caps be able to send 1 mass message through the messagebot like staff can, but some staffer told me that it would require different coding or new version of tw or something? idk some bs

Most of people check twd website very carefully and fluently. They often visit the squadon page and have a look into roster, statistics, on the move, efficiency and so forth, so I am sure the 'squad forums' section would easily be visible too. It is captains' opportunity to encourage their players to communicate through that tab. It might as well be an optional feature that you can toggle in squad profile's options.
