TWD relaunch
Greetings fellow Trench Wars Duelists,
We will be hitting the relaunch of TWD after this weekend (Monday or Tuesday of next week is the target) and you most likely are wondering what you will be expecting to see at launch, and what format the league will take.
At face value TWD will still remain TWD and the large amount of TWD will look very similar, aside from the following changes:
- The Offical TWD Season 1 will launch, and medals will be awarded to the winning teams at the end of the season.
Why are we doing this?
Hundreds of games are played in the course of a season and winning teams and great individual feats of talent are often forgotten as soon as the next reset hits.
- Player Rating system will be introduced at launch
Why are we doing this?
So players can find out who the top players are in the entire division, in their individual squad or discover their own legacy.

- Squads will now be able to promote a maximum of 4 Captains
Why are we doing this?
It occurred to me that on squads with less active captains, players were struggling to manage the squad. They’ve been phoning round friends and sending messages to get captains to accept them on the roster who were offline, or alternatively getting staff members to manage rosters for them. To deal with these cases, we will be adding an additional captain spot for you. You don't have to have 4 captains if you don't want to, but I want to give teams more power to make decisions. I trust this system won't be abused, but be wary in choosing your henchmen.
Coming soon "after launch" the following features will be available:
- Player borrowing system (currently in testing)

- Internal bot rostering
We have plans to develop a system to allow squads to be managed using in-game bots, rather than having to go to the website. If completed, rostering can be done on a bot, so joining/leaving squads, accepting applicants, promoting, viewing rosters, etc. can be done from simple commands, without having to alt-tab out. Don't like it? Well, the website will still be available.
- Hot or Not TWD
Never been done before for TWD. However, with a Rating system, and more statistics than ever, Guest Hot or Not writers will have plenty of tools to name and shame with reckless abandon!
The details of a lot of these new features and how they will be implemented will be discussed on the TWD meeting on Sunday at 6pm est after TWDT in ?go twd
