Why is TWD so reliant on Mythrandir?

TWD shouldn't be solely reliant on Myth. If it's coded in such a manner that only he's capable of resetting it, re-code the motherfucker. Hell, there should be a form somewhere on an admin page at the TWD website with a quick-n-easy RESET button...

The same thing happened last season. IMO guano needs to take another job, although he already has 11 billion, and take myth's bot and reset twd. I don't see what the issue is, delete the database and your done.

From what I understand it's not merely resetting the thing. Myth also intends some massive upgrades to the system from what I hear. If it were just a reset, anyone with access to the database could do it in an hour or so.

Like fixing some of the bugs in the bots, like not warping a person allowing for an initial 5-fer, subbing at the last second before someone gets out and taking your opponent's score down by 10, etc.

i do have database access... the only problem is that i dont know what myth needs to do to reset twd because as of right now im not that active in its management.

As for the bots and the upgrads, I am currently working on them because they are quite similar to the twl bots. We do have a fair number of upgrades planned as well as bot fixes and such. To give you a taste:

- full lag checks
- full alias checking
- more stats
- bug fixes (hopefully i wont introduce new bugs though...)
- always have a free arena

etc.

I cant quite tell how far along i am with the bots... but the design is there and its about half coded. After i finish coding it i will have to do some massive testing and bug fixing. I plan on integrating the bots into twd after twl has started because my priorities lie with twl.

I'm sorry about the sloppy opping. I'm totally burnt out, in this game, but also IRL. Can't think, or concentrate without freaking out.

Why is TWD so reliant on me? Because I haven't found anyone yet who is willing and capable to take over TWD and continue the development on it.

Cpt Guano is working on a new version of Matchbot, but he is a TWL op and there's no way he can run 2 leagues.

I'll promise to reset TWD by this friday afternoon.

If you're crazy enough to want to become a TWD op, here is what is required of you:
- some knowledge about PHP and webbased programming in general
- some knowledge about java
- knowledge about relational databases
- ambition, motivation, whatever.
