I realize not everyone will show every Sunday but with an avg of almost 9* rating for top 80 basers, 66* cap or even 67* cap might be too low for this DT.

We need to raise the basing cap, but to how high? Depending on show rates we might be able to push this to 70* cap. What do you guys think? beam WillBy

currently looking into raising wb/jav cap to 41 and base to 67* need to research a little more before making a decision but its clear 66 is too low for base

There are 3 options for the star cap:
1. No star cap
2. A star cap to prevent stacking one league
3. A star cap to allow newbies to play at the expense of vets

Here's my usual example of using formulas to calculate star caps:

The sum of the top 50 wb ratings is 428.5
Divided by 10 teams = 42.85 rating
Rounded to .5 = 43

The sum of the top 50 jav ratings is 430
Divided by 10 teams = 43 rating
Rounded to .5 = 43

The sum of the top 80 base ratings is 716
Divided by 10 teams = 71.6 rating
Rounded to .5 = 71.5

3. A star cap to allow newbies to play at the expense of vets

Take the numbers from #2 and multiply them by some made up number to express how much you want newbies to play at the expense of vets.

My opinion:
- 66 was too low in base, so that should have been 67.
- Adding .5 ratings has resulted in ratings being inflated.
- 40/40/67 is too low because it doesn't account for rating inflation.
- Rating inflation occurred in all three leagues, but base was the most affected and it has larger teams so should be increase from 67 more than wb/jav is increased from 40.
- How about 41 / 41 / 69 ?

If some of the base ratings are lowered as per suggestions from other players, I feel 68-star cap might be the way to go for basing. This also takes into account the fact that there's essentially 0% chance that all teams can consistently field their best teams, thus it will let more 6 to 7.5 star players play which is good for the competition. It would result in closer and more competitive matches.

Not just about the signups, but on the the general activity itself. People won't be magicly gone in 1 month, forum is active, the ones who got lured into signing will be reminded again and most will surely not forget.

More time, more signups, possibility of 12 teams, more time to prepare the league, ratings, pre-season, predictions, resolutions, HoN, bots and maps.

And with the quarentines that happened and with the possibility that they could return, there will be alot of people getting fresh air. Covid, sadly in a way, might give us another boost of activity later on as well. Just seems less logical to make people play in the 2 less active months of the year that correspond to people's vacations and outdoor activities. Some will manage, but you'll lose mans on Sundays if it's now, because there's also a higher possibility for un-scheduled things to come up on weekends for people, harder to predict compared to Autumn and Winter.
