Long-awaited draft league is here again, here is recap of how things went for those who may care:
WARBIRD
NPCS vs p1ssm1n (50-32)
2 vios 10*s who have been arguing for better half of 2024 about who is better in wb, didnt really manage to score any points for themselves with mediocre 8 (vys) and 9 kills (racka) performance. They were not helped by violence's erratic leadership, subbing in totally unprepared Mercede$, who lasted for exactly 35 seconds, but her 100% K/bul ratio will most probably be written in history books. Nbside domu flew under the radar with horrible 3-10 and berzerk did not much better with 5-10, being first one eliminated.
Entire NPCS team did very well, except for absurd going weak 4-8. Azuline once again showing he is criminally underrated for this league, while myth and bombed did what they were suppose to do in this thomping.
Power vs pure luck (50-42)
A really upside down game for pure luck, where all high stars pretty much sucked with rainbow seeker being first one out with 6-10 and lockdown soon following with 7-10. Tiny didnt fair better ending game with 5-10. Zapata held his own, but true star for pure luck this game was tj hazuki going wild with 12-10 as 7*. Tj showed already last season he has great aim and ability to stay alive, vital for pure luck to keep him showing up. Power had his finnish stars zizu and turban playing well below their rating, but solid staying alive from christian and masterclass by beam and okyo broke pure lucks spine and delivered win in the end.
Haze vs Ronaldos (50-32)
Ronaldos was really only team that struggled hard with getting good enough lineup working with saiyan and raazi not showing their faces. They dont have really any other 9+* wbs on roster, so it was going to be hard game. Tripin and banzi did their best, but awful (0-6 before subbed) yeh and his subs and paradise (4-10) gave ronaldos no hope. Cripple and flew dominated for haze and there was really no question who would win this one.
Haze vs Power (50-29)
Going hopeful into the game, power got completely demolished. 8% K/bullet ratio was worse for any team entire weekend, so aim was totally off and power got taken out by hazes powerful r2 shower. Basically everyone played well below what was expected from them. Haze on the other continued their strong games with cripple again showing he is in his best shape for this league, ardour giving himself good chance for more appearances in future and iron survivor being strong as always.
Pure luck vs p1ssm1n (50-43)
After losing their first games, both teams were hungry to get a point on scoresheet. Vys did a bit better with 12-10 being last one out, but inability to stay alive from lower rated players and rackas shameful 6 kills gave pure luck their first win. Rainbow seeker popped off showing his potential with massive 17-8, solid performances from rest of team as well.
NPCS vs ronaldos (50-24)
Ronaldos decided to go with no weak link strategy of lining up entire team who are 8* or better, but were still 1.5 off vp limits. This strategy turned out even more disastrous with only hulk managing more than 5 kills. 8:10 gametime tells how onesided this was. Mythril got insane 20-3 rec and even x-demos 0-7 gave ronaldos 0 chance. They better start hoping for saiyan/raazi to show up in future weekends or things are looking bleak for them in this league.
So here we go, first week of wbs behind us and haze/NPCS showing early dominance in this league and vio/stayon having to make some trades or lineup choices, power and pure luck probably going to score a point here and there, but not really looking to be championship material yet.

JAVELIN
NPCS vs p1ssm1n (50-35)
Going at this game with similar setups (3 top players accompanied with 2 7.5*s), p1ssm1n only faired a bit better compared to same matchup in wb. Violence played like a 6* going out with 1-10 and berzerk once again sucked with being first one out with 6-10. Top players did okeysh for them, so the difference really came from 7.5*s. Looking at how siaxes (13 round pick i must say) gets mvp with 14-7, backed but solid azuline again shows NPCSs are really big favorites in javelin aswell. Vio needs to get some prac or sub himself out, as his performances are looking embarrasing at the moment.
Haze vs pure luck (50-48)
Despite pure lucks 7.5*s sucking heavily with shaun especially embarrasing 1-10 and zapata not much better with 4-10 going out early in game, massive performance from tiny (in the end 18-10) kept them in the game until the end where lockdown couldnt manage 3v1 situation unfortunately. Haze had also rabbit not doing much, but at least he kept himself in until last part of game. Cripple did again solid job with 16-10 and dw/dwop/rough secured the first really close game win to Haze, matching NPCSs 3 wins at that stage.
Ronaldos vs power (50-42)
Also power had his struggling player with big sean going 2-10 and eliminated at early stage. From rest of team, noone really managed to completely shine and despite some hope arriving after managing to take out ekko, they still couldnt keep themselves alive followed by some really unfortunate deaths for turb and zidane as well. From Ronaldos staying got mvp delivering vital point for his team, solid performances from rest of team as well.
NPCS vs Ronaldos (50-49)
Probably best match of Sunday where, both teams went neck to neck and ended up with massive simultaneous death-scene including mythril, yeh and ekko with only bombed (with extra life) coming out on top. Both teams were really equally matched up, noone stood out, noone sucked, everyone on both teams ended up between 7 to 12 kills. Hardest win for NPCS, but still 4 out of 4 at this time, showing the teams potential in this league. Could it finally be the year of Bombed?
Pure luck vs p1ssm1n (50-49)
Racka finally came alive in this game scoring massive 21 kills, vio made a correct choice of replacing him, but his replacements didnt really fair much better with poor performances from snoopie (0-4) and also sarger (4-8). With racka managing to take everyone else down, it once again came down to lockdown, but this time he kept his cool and secured a hard win for pure luck and important point. Kim and zapata were not on desired level going 5-10 for pl, rest of team did their job.
Power vs haze (50-36)
In a pretty surprising match, where noone really expected power to win, they performed really well, while haze seemed shellshocked entire game on how they were dominated by 7.5* dak and beam and 8* sword, as zidane made big chances from previous game. Turban finally popped up with impressive 16-7 and everyone else stayed alive and did their job. No good performances from haze. Dwopple being taken out already after 7 minutes turned the game totally under powers control, so he can be probably blamed most, while dw/rough hazes 10*s both also went negative.
Javelin further cemented NPCS as big favorite in duelling leagues, while rest of pack seem closer to each other compared to wb with all other teams except for p1ssm1n getting at least 1 win, but also they were much closer than in wb.

BASE
Pure luck vs p1ssm1n (15:00-11:58)
Vios team were desperate for a win at this stage, but it was not to be, mainly due to amazing performances by cape as terrier (58-3!) and rainbow seeker popping 130 kills and dominating the spiders. Both pure lucks sharks were not really that good, especially compared to violence/jamal duo, but having draft as terrier (for some reason not using apt here) really gave upper hand and more flagroom control to PL, which eventually turned into solid win.
Power vs NPCSs (15:00 - 12:12)
Similar game as the pl one with zizu going off with 59-3 vs x-demos 30-11 in terrier. Power was really bad in holding cram and entire game was not really about in-base fight, but rather x-demo once again dying and NPCSs breaking the cram. Once frozen throne arrived, things got better for NPCSs, but lead was already too much by that time and NPCSs finally lost their first game of season.
Haze vs Ronaldos (15:00 - 11:02)
And also 3rd game of base was decided in similar way with zizzo doing great in terrier 47-2 vs pressure 38-11. Cripple of course also supported with 122 kills, but sharks for both teams and rest of spiderlineup was not really playing their top game, so it came down to one terrier managing to survive better than other. Haze caught up NPCSs with this game and making already big claims for playoff spots in all leagues.
P1ssm1n vs Ronaldos (15:00 - 11:04)
It was bound to happen and with last game of first week p1ssm1n also managed to get that vital win on the scoreboard. Draft redeemed his poor performance by going 42-1 in terrier, ronaldos tried both pressure and ekko as terriers and neither did that bad, but were not really match. Staying alive obviously means more flag-time and p1ssm1n did great job protecting terr.
Power vs Pure Luck (15:00 - 5:33)
In the most one-sided game of the weekend, PL had really no chance in bringing down power. Tinys 15-11 as terrier definitely didnt help, absymal performance by jackie as well. Turban did crazy numbers in spider and zizu once again rock solid. Power looks very solid in base after first week and definitely one of the favorites. Team with 5 10* players can also try different setups and still play really well as was shown first weekend as well.
Haze vs NPCS (15:00 - 10:48)
2 leading teams faced in base game, where another lackluster performance from x-demo (20-11) shows NPCSs really need to consider some other alternatives for terrier or their base results will most probably not get better. If mikkiz shows up, it will definitely totally give different potential for this team. Haze took their chance, cripple once again shining and groan going wild as 8*.
Both haze and power looking early signs of dominance, while ronaldos and npcs need to look at their terrier situation. Still alot to play for.
