Leagues announcement: A new era (hype)
To little surprise, I am stepping down from my role as TW Leagues coordinator & upperstaff, effective January 26, 2025 (Week 1 of TWDT 30). I’ve mostly enjoyed the position for the last 4.5 years, but it’s time to hand off the responsibility to others. I will remain on as a regular moderator to help with weekly league setup and management, but return to a regular player after the conclusion of TWDT. I have no plans to quit TW (hype).
The duties of TW Leagues coordinator will be split into semi-competitive (mainly MMR), and leagues (TWDT/TWCup/TWL).
Ekko has agreed to take the helm of Leagues, and will work closely with RaCka and myself to prepare for TWDT 30.
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, Omega Red has agreed to take the helm of semi-comp (MMR). RaCka will remain in his existing league op role and help serve as an advisor for any league-related decisions and discussion, as needed. I continue to urge any and all willing vets to extend their support to Ekko and Omega Red and ensure Leagues continue on.
Much love to everyone who has continued to be active within the community and TW Leagues, and a very special thanks to RaCka, BIET and SpookedOne who have poured a ton of their personal time into keeping leagues active and fun. Thank you to the many, many others not mentioned who have stepped in or made their own contributions to keep us all entertained.
