The Veterans Promise Cup will run for 1 day only, the 4 team single round robin tournament will be next Sunday June 7th from 2pm to 5pm EST, it will be a single round robin tournament, followed by semi finals and a finals. More details to come soon on specific scheduling and format. If you signed up for last DT, you are on a team. If you are not on a team and an active player and wish to be on a team please message myself or Dameon in game, or on discord, or respond to the forum post here, anyone who wishes to be added to a team has until this Wednesday June 3rd to message us & we will randomize all additional players to a team. I’m gonna throw in Zizu @Mikkiz Pressure Cape Cintra & Heaven just because where are all the terrs?

PROMISE CUP UPDATE – FINAL FORMAT & TEAMS ANNOUNCED

With captain confirmations complete and the draft approaching, the Promise Cup Basing Division is officially set with 4 teams competing for the title on Sunday, June 7th, 2026.

Tournament Schedule

The entire event, regular season, playoffs, and finals, will be completed in a single day.

Date: Sunday, June 7th, 2026
Time: 2:00 PM – 5:30 PM EST
Regular Season (Single Round Robin)


Each team will face every other team once. Two matches will be played simultaneously during each round.
Round 1 – 2:00 PM

• LowTierGods vs Outlaw
• Sauced Vultures vs Trespass

Round 2 – 2:30 PM

• LowTierGods vs Sauced Vultures
• Outlaw vs Trespass

Round 3 – 3:00 PM

Playoffs

Following the conclusion of the regular season, teams will be seeded #1 through #4.

• The #1 seed will earn the right to choose their semifinal opponent.
• In the event of a tie for first place, the winner of the head-to-head regular season match between the tied teams will receive the higher seed.
• Semifinals will begin at 3:30 PM EST.
• Both semifinals will be played as Best of 3 series.
• The Finals will be played as a Best of 3, beginning 5 minutes after the final semifinal match concludes.

Late Player Policy

Any active player who logs on during tournament day and is not already assigned to a roster will be eligible for random assignment to a team.

Randomized additions will be permitted up until the conclusion of Round 2 (3:00 PM EST). After that point, all rosters will be locked for the remainder of the tournament.

Borrow Policy: Borrowing of players rated 8★ and below will be allowed until the end of the regular season (3:30 PM EST). All playoff matches will be played with locked rosters; no borrows are permitted after seeding is finalized.

Prizing

$5,000,000 pub bucks per starter on the championship-winning team.

Bonus: Wildcard Lotto


To add a little extra chaos to the Promise Cup, we've assembled a Wildcard Lotto consisting of 12 basing legends who were not included on the original draft spreadsheet.

Later tonight (Saturday, June 6th, 2026), these players will be randomly distributed among the four teams, with each team receiving 3 players.

Captains are then encouraged to do everything in their power to convince these players to show up on tournament day. Reasonable recruiting efforts, shameless bribery, guilt trips, excessive PMs, and light harassment are all encouraged.

Promise Cup 2026 Finals Wrap-Up


The Promise Cup 2026 championship came down to a hard-fought three-game series between Outlaw and Trespass. After dropping the opening game, Outlaw, captained by MVP, responded with two dominant victories to win the series 2-1 and claim the championship.


Game 1: Trespass Strikes First

Trespass opened the finals with a convincing 15-10 victory, fueled by a complete team performance and a standout showing from maketso in terrier. After dominating the semifinals, maketso continued his strong play in Game 1, recording five TeKs on ogron and helping Trespass establish control early in the series.

Outlaw received solid spider production from ro, Ease, hellkite, and Sword, but Trespass capitalized on key opportunities throughout the match and held firm when it mattered most.

At that point, the matchup appeared evenly balanced. Trespass held a noticeable advantage in the shark battle, while Outlaw's strength lay in its deep and talented spider lineup.


Game 2: Outlaw Responds

The turning point of the series came after Game 1 when Trespass lost maketso and was forced to reshuffle its lineup, moving absurd into terrier.

Outlaw immediately took advantage of the situation, rolling to a 15-6 victory behind overwhelming spider pressure.

ro led the way with 102 kills and the highest rating in the game, while hellkite, Stayon, Ease, and Sword combined to form one of the strongest spider lines seen all tournament. With ogron providing steady play in terrier, Outlaw found stability at the most important position and never allowed Trespass to establish sustained control.


Game 3: Depth Decides the Championship

Trespass remained competitive in the deciding game, moving absurd back to spider and receiving a strong terrier performance from BAD BADGER. However, Outlaw's depth ultimately proved too much to overcome.

ro once again led all players with 115 kills, while hellkite added 108 and Stayon contributed 105. The trio generated relentless pressure throughout the match, supported by Ease and Sword in what was undeniably the most dominant spider lineup in the event. With a combined 49.5-star spider quintet(hellkite is a 10 idc), Outlaw simply overwhelmed opponents with firepower and consistency from their fighter ships.


Trespass continued to show strength in the shark positions throughout the series, but Outlaw's advantages in spider and terrier became increasingly apparent as the finals progressed. The combination of ogron's steady terrier play and the constant pressure from the spider core and solid sharking from Commodo and mvp allowed Outlaw to control the final two games and close out the championship.



Finals Takeaways

The finals were ultimately a story of contrasting strengths.

Trespass appeared poised for an upset after taking Game 1 and arguably held the edge in the shark battle throughout the series. However, once maketso departed, the balance shifted significantly. Outlaw gained a clear advantage in terrier/spider and was able to fully leverage what was one of the strongest spider lineups i've ever seen..

The core of Ease, Sword, ro, hellkite, and Stayon, consistently dictated the pace of play, while Commodo and mvp provided additional depth and support. Combined with reliable terrier play from ogron and steady leadership from captain MVP, Outlaw won the final two games convincingly to complete the comeback and secure the title.
