This by far should be fixed, just like jav's assbullets are fixed. Its really annoying ot hit someone and do 100 damage bc of some kind of lag then they go and do 700 on u. I think with fix'd damage everything is on a level and even playing field._o_2NASRALLAH

well, i used to be with random but now, if you're smart and are energy conservative you can own it up.
It stops newbies from spraying and praying (CS) nad owning because their bullets hurt like 800+ sometimes, anyways, i'm with fixed.There once was a man from Nantucket.

Yeah, lets keep in random so the newbies who can only hit one shot can get kills. It should have NEVER been random to beging with, fix the dmg.The only TWO TIME TWLJ All-Star and TWLB All-Star who never played a game.

With fixed damage you can play a lot smarter, IE, willingly tank a bullet or two knowing that you aren't going to die.
Random is meant to make up for the eats because of lag. Say two fixed bullets would do 500 each. You hit twice, but one of them is eaten due to lag. With random, the bullet that isn't eaten may do 1000 damage. It makes up for the eats.sdg

I am for random damage because of the reasoning discussed by Stabwound concerning issues with lag. Fixed damage gives laggy players yet another advantage they don't need. Since fixed damage was implemented in ?go base, I've spectated quite a large number of games and played in quite a few as well. I've noticed a trend in which a few "super spiders", so to speak, have emerged. I'm not going to mention names because I don't wish to trash on anyone. I'm just saying that with fixed damage, players that were already eating a lot with random can now eat even more. There's no especially powerful bullet that might get through in a non-dropped packet to make up for all the weaker bullets that did get dropped in a lost packet.
All of that being said, I do agree with the other side of the issue to an extent. In a perfect world, that is one with no lag for any player, fixed damage makes for a perfectly "even steven" game. We all know lag is the bane of competitive league play though. I feel that random damage helps to counteract lag and evens the playing field moreso than fixed damage ever will.jasonofabitch loves!!!!
