Trench Wars Leagues Season 7!

Trench Wars League Season 7 is starting to get under way. Since the change of the rules about only allowing playoff squads from last season in, The squads that will be invited to return are as followed:

TWLB:
Spastic, Disoblige, Pallies, Anti-Scrub, Mambo

TWLJ:
Ancients, Disoblige, sk8, Pallies

TWLD:
Disoblige, Pallies

Please email trenchwarsleagues@yahoo.com with your acceptance. There will be 16 squads in TWLD and TWLJ and 14 squads in TWLB. That leaves the following spots open:

14 spots for TWLD
12 spots for TWLJ
09 spots for TWLB

We will be locking TWD to choose the squads on April 25, 2004 at 5 pm EST. Good luck!

Pusher said there will be 14 TWLB teams this year. Thus, subtracting the 5 returning playoff squads:

14 - 5 = 9

Hallelujah. Math still works.

14 squads will be great... 16 was fine last year, but you have to remember squads like NS, Paladen, and British Squad automaticaly made it... but were extremely easy. 14 is a big enough number to not be TOO exclusive, but small enough to get rid of those 1 or 2 no win squads.

(ok, before i start, this is the first TWL season i will be around for )

So, one question....the top 9 on TWD roster make it, (except for the auto qualifiers, right?....if one of those 5 are in the top 9...are they skipped over...or are they taken off the ladder entirely?

it's the top nine not including those 5 squads. if any of them are in the top nine they are skipped over and the next squad will get in

Assuming the ladders don't change too drastically, it looks like TWLB is going to be nice and competitive. There are a few "out of place teams" right now though. Hopefully PUMA finally gets disqualified (for good) for all the double squadding and what not. WR, you bitches better suck it up and take their spot! As for Avalonian, I can't say they've earned their spot. Looking at their TWBD history, it's quite apparent they've abused the system. If they manage to hold their ranking and get in though, aside from getting stomped into the ground a lot, at least they'll have the opportunity to use TWL as a learning experience.

TWLB Teams

Spastic - prequalified and still looking as strong as last season
Incuria - definitely earned it, need to prove themselves in TWL
Anti-Scrub - prequalified and looking very strong lately
Tanked - earned it, really need to prove themselves in TWL
Mambo - prequalified and even stronger than last season
Avalonian - didn't earn it, will get their asses handed to them in TWL
Grapevine - definitely earned it, need to prove themselves in TWL
Melee - earned it, really need to prove themselves in TWL
-FINAL- - sika is a fat ass
PUMA - damn well better be disqualified entirely
ReJeCtEd BaSeRs - definitely earned it, lunch3 has talked the talk so they damn well better walk the walk
Syndicate - no surprise here, elusive 2.0
Pallies - prequalified, the hippest cats iowa ever did see
Disoblige - prequalified, looking for revenge against (as da1 always puts its) spastilag


Again, assuming the ladders don't change too drastically, TWLJ will be interesting as well. PUMA should be out of there. I also think Interface should be gone if there's any truth to this paying players nonsense. Ancients, if they get active, will add to the competitiveness, but as far as TWJD is concerned, it looks like they aren't doing shit. Although, this could just be because they don't care about JD being that they're prequalified.

TWLJ Teams

Shriek - definitely earned it, don't dissolve annie
Sk8 - prequalified, always a contender that you don't hear much about, sleeper squad for the win
-FINAL- - sika is a stupid fat ass
Grapevine - definitely earned it, need to prove themselves in TWL
Rapid - earned it, need to prove themselves in TWL
Syndicate - again, these guys are elusive 2.0, no surprise here
Tanked - earned it, really need to prove themselves in TWL
Spastic - trying to break into another league, earned it, need to prove themselves
PUMA - for the love of god, disqualify these shitheads
Pirates - definitely earned it, need to do well so as to silence all the shit talking that went down when they lost a few core members
Interface - pay2win, what a joke
Egyptian - ummm, don't really know them so i don't know what to say, good luck to 'em
Mambo - we just want to qualify this time around, even a dead last finish come TWL would be dandy
Pallies - prequalified, picked up some jav talent since last season
Disoblige - prequalified, lost some jav talent since last season
Ancients - prequalified, showing serious signs of inactivity though


I don't give a flying fuck about TWLD. Whoever gets in, good for them. :]
