Mmm, are we talking about the actual Pallies squad here, or has some new squad named Pallies recently appeard.. To my knowledge anything named Pallies has never been cool in online Continuum game, although, if you're actually thinking of the "think they're cool" I think you'll have a case..

Seriously, what has Pallies ever done that is cool? Well, me wasting a few months in this game since the start of it, I haven't seen anything, but I might have missed out of stuff not being the most dedicated player such as Concshitnyard..

Lets break it down, any squad with a personality such as concshitnyard has uncool all written over it, unless the persons who worship it has absolutley no clue about reality.. But that being that case in this game, I just relized Pallies are cool to the people who waste their time in online continuum..

No offense, but I question your basing knowledge with that comment. -F- has some very good basers, Sika, Mitch, Domi, Hannes, Dumbrit!, Raspi, Appleseed, Pooz, etc. Some of these guys have led their team to a TWL-B title, so I would consider them "threats." Maybe you're too new to remember these guys or maybe you just don't know any better. But let's keep it real, that was an ignorant comment on your part.

I think the original idea of this was good, but it got far too involved in basing... especially since the starter of this thread was a baser so that doesn't help . Anyways, here's my thoughts... just my personal opinion and i'm not trying to flame anyone.

Underrated:

• Syndicate [TWL-D]: As hard as it is to believe, I think most people don't believe they have what it takes to win against Pallies or -Final- i guess. I think most people rank them like 2nd or 3rd overall. I personally believe demonfaze, Burnt, Ripper, 2dragons, Escalate, abstruct and Deez Nuts will take the title easier than most would expect. Afterall, they are 1/2 of the defending champions of TWLD and i believe most people predicted Rampage to defeat them last year and look how that turned out.
• -Final- [TWL-J]: I don't know where people rank them quite honestly but i think they'll be in the finals and just come up short by a few kills from winning the overall title.
• Pirates [Both leagues]: From what i've read, most people don't predict us to beat anyone except squads like "Elenya" or "Avalonian" ... and that's IF we're lucky... Escalate even predicted us as low as 3-7 in TWLD, and the highest i've seen anyone predict us was at 5-5. Obviously this is our first year in TWL, but that really doesn't say much since more than half the squads are in their first year in TWL (except for basing). Anyways, i just think we will be one of the biggest underdogs out there.

Overrated:

• Shriek [TWL-D]: I don't think they have a top line which can rival even any of the top 3 squads even on a good day. They're starters are good but not great in my opinion. eRad, Annul, Aerin and vigilanty will do well vs. most squads i assume but i would not rank the squad as a whole in the top 3 when it comes to the best of the best.
• Grapevine [TWL-D]: Yes they have some good players and beat some good squads in DD's, but i think when they've beat those top squads in DD's, they were using their top 4 vs. another squads backup players, so i tend to disregard that. I would not place them top 5 even in TWLD. They are a good squad (no matter how much i hate the captains) and i think they'll be around for a few seasons but i don't think they will go as far as Melee did last year. I think that Disoblige, Syndicate, -Final-, Pallies and a few other squads are all far above them.
• DragonGuard [TWL-D]: They have a good top 4 or 5 guys but i don't think they'll make it into the Playoffs as everyone expects them to. They remind me a lot of the Rejected Basers of TWLD with BikE and Lunch3 being very similar as well. But i think overall, i would put more money on RB as a TWLB playoff squad then DG as a TWLD playoff squad.

and download.. yeah raspi's good, but he was only 1/5 of their starting lineup last year and syndicate has picked up many good wbs to try to fill the void

these forums are filled with basers. From all of the discussions, 70% of them are basing related. So i agree with awesome, this thread was good but as always dueling is barely discussed, which is a shame since thats where the real fun is.

Anyone is welcome to talk about whatever they want. And others have spoken about my squad. I included a reference to Escalate's prediction about my squad. My post wasn't meant to trash talk anyone. It was just a discussion on various squads in TWL-D/TWL-J.

I think that Pirates were a few months ago a strong contender atleast for TWLJ title. Thats what they put full efford towards. Now days they seem to DD more then JD. I mean in TWLJ they mite be the sleeper team this season. Ppl seem to be underestimating them but they do got a very nice top lineup. I mean: bb, chance, CC, herc, kim,Sky, even Tiny and Yip man are all decent to very good javs. I dont konw there top lineup but if CC, herc, kim, sky all show up thats 1 hella lineup. Mite be some problems. As for DD, i dont keep up with WBs so i wont predict. I think Pirates practic alot of Dd and mite do decent/well in it. I do think they lack some depth, but there toplines are veyr active and have a nice chance of showing each weekend. I think its fair to say that Pirates are underrated atleast a little bit in TWLJ.
