Ok, TWL Season games are on the way and from now on no bullshit predictions, our goal is to keep at 100% right. Me and Underground will be doing this together. Underground will predict Diso games I will do Sk8 games.
TWLD
British Squad vs. Verone - A tough matchup here, these teams are very equal but we think the slight edge goes to Verone here, first because they don’t have acidmouse, then because they are simply better. British Squad lost to Avalonian, that show how much of a joke they still are, Verone also lost to Avalonian in a tough matchup and without their best players unlike British Squad. And as I said in previous weeks and now with the agreement of Underground, Verone is seriously underrated and Unexpected can eat like there is no tomorrow. On the other hand British Squad has been hyping themselves up in the forums everytime someone predicts something and they being nothing better than the joke they were last season, we seriously hope this changes. Winner to be:
Underground: Verone
Download: Verone
Ideal lineups: acidmouse, demonic, attacks, castle, sol^ vs Stasua, Unexpected, Vys, NRG, tyflyias
MVP: Unexpected
LVP: Castle
Ancients vs. Rapid - Ok, Ancients had a tough game vs –FINAL- in the last week of preseason and they hung on well to it, Dreamfly was carrying them with a 17-10, pretty impressive, but most of the others sucked, which leaves the idea of a not so solid lineup. Rapid on its part, they were completely annihilated by the mediocre squad that is Pirates in warbird in the first preseason round, and they beat a less than mediocre squad that is Melee in a close game. So basically, none of us sees a bright future ahead of Rapid. But it all depends on wether Ancients is gonna choke or not. So we both agree Ancients will bring their top game and start caring now that preseason is over. Winner to be:
Underground: Ancients
Download: Ancients
Ideal lineups: Pakastin, Malador, Riksa, Dreamfly, Utopia vs Crystal, ups, violence, Blindado, Compulsive
MVP: Utopia
LVP: ups
Dragonguard vs. Pirates - Dragonguard was a clear disappointment for us preseason, they were drafted as one of the top mid tier teams in league and managed to lose both their preseason games vs other top mid tier teams and by quite a lot with their best lines, at least vs Sk8. If TNTkilla and G2 kick u keep on not showing up for games Dragonguard will have a hard time reaching the so promised playoff position they are aiming for. As for Pirates they beat Rapid by a lot but still with the help of bot problems on Rapid´s side. They were totally crushed by Syndicate, which was more or less expected, they don’t have a good wb roster no matter what anyone says and they will have a hard time making playoffs in a conference that is tough for the mid tier squads for the level is much closer in there. If Bobo Bef manages to stay in more than 5 mins this time, Dragonguard will have a decent enough chance to win it. Winner to be:
Underground: Dragonguard
Download : Dragonguard
Ideal lineups: Metalkid, bike, Bobo Bef, Janitor, Epoch vs Colonel, Nikolai, Hercules, postzegel, Froedrick
MVP: Janitor
LVP: postzegel
-FINAL- vs. Syndicate - Game of the week right here, 120 spectators predicted, at least. –FINAL- beat Ancients last preseason week and not by a lot, they relied on Raspi having a great game for that win, and well it might still be enough for Syndicate cause Raspi is fucking awesome but it probably wont, so they need to step their game up a notch, and as long as Sika keeps being eliminated in 5 minutes –FINAL- wont be able to beat Syndicate. Syndicate on the other hand has the most stacked roster in wbs this season and can sub anyone in their lineup for someone just as competent, they have done it in preseason and they got away with it, if they keep abstruct in spec, we don’t see why they will have trouble this season. If –FINAL- lets Syndicate play their ideal lobbing game, than they will get crushed. Winner to be:
Underground: Syndicate
Download: Syndicate
Ideal lineups: Sika, Raspi, Poozzman, destroy, death row vs Ripper, Burnt, deez nuts, demonfaze, Escalate
MVP: Escalate
LVP: Sika
Grapevine vs. Sk8 - Grapevine has one of the best lineups in the league and is a squad with a lot of depth, not as good as Syndicate tho, but most of their subs can sub the starters without a lot of trouble, they do have 3 outstanding players in Mega Newbie, Randedl and Weaver. As for Sk8, I think they are as good as Grapevine and have the same amount of depth although not of such high quality. But I think if both these top lines were to face each other with no chokes, Sk8 could pull through, all depends on who chokes and who subs them. Will be a good game, in preseason Sk8 was hanging there till bot fucked em up, I think Sk8 will win this time if their best show. Winner to be:
download: Sk8
Ideal lineups: Randedl, Mega Newbie, Weaver, Anon, Tys vs Mikena, Rogue, Ease, Skeleton, Mysterious
MVP: Mikena
LVP: Tys
Avalonian vs. Shriek - Ok, in a week with so many good games this has to be the black sheep of them all, Avalonian has won both their preseason games with DeMoNoFdArKnEsS MVPing in both their games, can he keep it up while Deluge manages to pull impressive 2-6s ? This question remains to be answered in the regular season. Its their first time in TWL and it is also their first game vs a decent team, lets see if they are here to do something or just beat the likes of British Squad and Verone. Shriek has no real teaming at all, they are just crazy rushers, I think they ask for enemy co-ords and run there as fast as they can hoping no1 hits them, you cant really tell if they are good or lucky. Either way none of us think Avalonian has much of a chance vs these guys. Winner to be:
Underground: Shriek
Download: Shriek
Ideal lineups: DeMoNoFdArKnEsS, Deluge, Danel, GeN, all star vs Mess, Aerin, Stripes, Veri, Fission
MVP: Veri
LVP: Deluge
Egyptian vs. Melee - Nasir once again quit SS leaving Egyptian stranded on the beach, but they still got Zapata so they wont lose here yet, but they will have a very unequal fight with Sk8 for the last playoff spot, and in a daring prediction, we hereby say they wont make it! Melee impressed in their preseason games making them closer than expected, which leaves us keeping them a slight room for upsetting some of the lower squads like British Squad. Winner to be:
Underground: Egyptian
Download: Egyptian
Ideal lineups: Zapata, Unrealistic, Ammunative, Cross, Vermillion Flame vs Team Punishment, JeBu, Ragnarok., Adeon, h2o60
MVP: Zapata
LVP: Adeon
Disoblige vs. Pallies - Right with –FINAL- vs Syndicate and Grapevine vs Sk8, here is one of the best matches of the week. These 2 squads during the past years fought for the same place and created one of the biggest rivalries in tw. Disoblige isn’t known for their top wbs but they got few players that can pull of the win such as the 3 D’s (Da1andonly, download and Displaced). In what concerns to Pallies they are better than ever in this league. They picked up Blood and Vihta which will help Mattey and HELLZNO! In their quest for Greatness. Their main problem is that they don’t have such a solid fifth player. If I’d keep to the pure skill Pallies would win but I don’t think they got the teaming they need. Winner to be:
Underground: Disoblige
Ideal lineups: download, Da1andonly, Displaced, bram, Nethervoid vs Vihta, Blood, Mattey, HELLZNO!, Sleepy Weasel
MVP: Da1andonly
LVP: Mattey
