The Start of a Somewhat Unpredictable Basing Season!

Stab, I wasn't saving face, I knew we probably wouldn't beat you guys, and I do honestly believe that we have a decent amount of squads above us in skill. All I meant was we pulled our own weight even when we had a jav against the 'almighty' spastic spiders.

Maybe we will play 5 spiders later or maybe we will keep the jav. But whatever the outcome of twlb I know we will do well, and will be happy if we make playoffs and win a few games there. This is just our first twl season period.

This season is very competitive, and I am going to make a claim here that IS true although I know there are various players in this game that hate us. The reason it is competitive now, is because we [RB] are always around to bd whoever, and as such this has made the members of various other squads happy and more excited to stick with their squads because there are a more ample supply of squad-based games to be played. We are maxed out at moment in amount of players we have, I ask that more squads recruit more players to continue to feed this extra competition we are seeing today. Some squads that I feel have also added to this added competition recently is Shriek, BasingCrew, WR, and Anti-Scrub. Shreik has recruited a good deal of basers, BC is a totally new squad with it's foundation already laid, WR has come out of its sleep and became more active, and A-S has done very well in activity. Spastic, a few months ago helped add to this competition by also playing often and being active. But seeing that PL and Supermet have left it seems Spastic has become less active. PL also seems to be a major reason why WR became active again too. I would like to see more squads to grow, and not eventually become washed-up. It would be great if several other squads recruited more and became more active in twbd and not just play for bragging rights.

Yeah, we honestly expected either a close match or a loss.

but...Sumspon didnt account for the no swith command, so when they subbed their jav, they did so with a non-jav and couldnt switch. So they were fucked, because it was then 4spiders and a teamkill.

I didn't play I'm on anti-scrub because I take up roster space so newbies dont PM asking for tryouts

I wouldn't exactly call the syndicate vs whiterabbits match an upset. It was a close game and a fun one, but we were out sharks 1-2-3 AND 4 for that match, not to mention a top line spider due to some ridiculous lag the bot found. Syndicate's a tough squad, so this wasn't exactly a surprise given our attendance. Here's hoping the next season doesn't take place during/right after everyone's finals =].

Frankly, I'm amazed we did that well with two sharks who'd never played together, and with a few people with connection problems. If anyone had any doubts about whiterabbits being in contention for the playoffs before this week, I hope the depth that our roster showed convinced you otherwise.

IMO, BC did great today. It's just that exotic and holydude decided to go nuts and start raping other spiders. I think the game would be closer if the sub thingy for BC didn't screw up.

my point was just that he was bringing up the starting sharks missing thing and i just wanted to bring up that we had abstruct sharking for us. im not sure if hes ever even sharked a game before. but yes you are correct, we were missing epi and fbz who i thought would normally be our starters. btw no offense to abs i thought he did good.

We all witnessed 3 very large upsets this weekend, those being Syndicate over Whiterabbits, Incuria over Mambo, and Shriek over Disoblige.

whaaa? in my mind thats exactly the way it should have happened. something about incuria's style allows them to beat mambo, but not teams mambo beats. i wouldnt have been suprised either way in this match, and it wound up being less than a minute's difference. no clear winner, really, only in face value..

then u got shriek and diso, people who care about their game and like to keep their skills cutting edge verses the same thing in the past tense. basing isn't about secrets as much any more. its becoming more about who is the stronger fighter. same thing with wr and syndicate..

people like to cling to what they are familiar with.. the stars might lie, but the numbers never do. the evidence is in twd match histories, these werent upsets.

i find it horribly ironic that whiterabbits (pure_luck's team) lost a game this season that they would have won last season. check the points, wr has 2k more points than synd!

Synd also had Demonfaze in terr which im guessing isnt tehre #1 terr. (2d) DF had a hella game tho, props to him for that $$ And maybe he is the #1 terr as of today

Wadi-regardless ofwho WR was missing thehy still had a nice lineup in. They are considered 1 of the top basing teams in TWLB. They should be able to field a good team of 8 each and every weekend. THey have over 20 ppl on therer roster and all they do (as of now) is base. Synd is a 3 league squad who rarely even practices basing, were missing there top 2 sharks and 2d wasnt terring. I think Synd was hurting more then you guys. Yet they still won. Stop making excuses. It was a hard faught game and i wouldnt doubt both of these squads in playoffs.
