It was the WildFires and Cripples that set the scene. These were the squads that even made us perpetuate that a basing arena or private basing sessions could even be conceived.

Mention to the Flying Imps and the old -Final- for the basing scene as well.

You assholes only helped in the underground basing scene by supplying players and sometimes hosts (such as RyanG). Mythrandir, who was on Vortex at this time, and people like Bleen and Adman, who hosted quite regularly until they were fed up with bullshit, layed the scene. RyanG, Mantra-Slider, Warportal, and other people get props for their work. It was a group effort by the pubbers and base league'rs of trench wars that got the ground moving. The statement says you guys laid all the ground. While it is true you may have done some to invision Trench Wars basing as it is today, you didn't do everything.

For that matter, Trench Wars basing wasn't close to what it is now. Then, two javelins and a line would suffice. Now, you have to just throw ships in the center ring and hope for the best. With the new "cram" (this is very homo-sexual word for shoving a bunch of deuschbags in the enterance) basing has turned more monologous to what action can and can't happen.

In the end, you guys were just kind of there. If you weren't, I imagine it would have evolved eventually for the best. It just took the select group we had to get the ball rolling.

This is what I'm referring to. Not the tangents you flew off onto, Mitch. Mythrandir created ?go base, he created ?go #mythrandir, he made it POSSIBLE to have organized basing games on a regular basis. Warportal, Mantra, RyanG, Adman etc. got the ball rolling for this. All of these people, with the exception of Adman, are in Disoblige or Pallies. Our two squads aren't solely responsible for making basing popular...there are tons of other influences in that category. Yeah, there were squads before us that got more people interested in basing, such as WildFire and Cripples. They laid a big part of the foundation from which basing took off on. But from a gaming standpoint, it was primarily members from Disoblige and Pallies who contributed significantly towards creating a place where people get together and play an informal 8v8 basing game. That's what I meant, you mean little shithead.

Yeah, after the glorious basing reign of Cripples and WildFire, the idea of a private basing arena was running through the ideas of the powers that be in TW. So much, in fact, that an actual arena was created a mere 18 or so months later.
