we are a 3 league squad, i wasnt gonna accept 3 pm EST because i was pretty sure we were accepting that for our twld. rejected basers havent even looked at the challenges since monday. i was pretty sure that since 3 was taken for our twld, and that was the ONLY time they suggested, that the game would be randomed to a time I suggested.

From what I've seen, matches tend to get randomed to places hosts can make, not to places squads have necessarily suggested. I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing.

ya herc they picked a match for us too, they made it saturaday at 3, y do u think we put down saturaday at 5 because kam gets home from work at 4 pm on sat and one hour for him to warmup and everything. great now one of our best wbs cant make it, and we cant use tanis or raynz cause they rnt eligable.

The times get randomized the way they do for one very basic reason. The 15:00EST and 16:00EST timeslots on Sunday are super popular. We tend to get virtually all of the squads trying to schedule matches then. We can only manage to find so many hosts for a particular timeslot. It's hard enough to find enough hosts to spread across all of the timeslots considering the fact that many of our ERs and Mods are often participating in matches themselves. So then, to avoid a really crowded timeslot, the folks who dicked around during scheduling time and couldn't agree on something get their matches randomized to a less crowded timeslot. The early bird gets the worm. If you want one of the more sought after timeslots, you need to get the negotiations with your opponent taken care of pronto.

yes but rejected basers are the ones who dicked around and didnt check the challenging since MONDAY... and now we're being punished because they were too lazy to sign in and hit "accept" or even suggest a new time other than the ONE time they did that we couldnt accept due to the fact we had another game at that time.

FYI,

Times aren't 'randomized', as in they aren't picked from thin air.

Check the scheduling rules under the TWL rules section for more information.

Keep in mind that 5 games/hour is a good guide. Anyone who has ever been involved with finding enough hosts for TWL games can attest to that.

If you can think of a truly better system you should have suggested it before the season started. And no, having completely assigned times wouldn't be better (at least to those who complain about assigned times now) because then times would truly be 'random' giving NO ONE a chance to have times they want unless they randomly got it.

As for this particular week, since I don't run TWL anymore and thus am not involved with the assigning of times, I can't comment on the specifics of this week, but in general, THE PUSHER knows what he's doing and he knows the rules that he co-wrote so I'm pretty sure it was done correctly.
