Crams use to be the hardest thing, but it takes time to understand it and nowadays we(basers) are better countering the cram so really basing nowadays is defiantly has more challenges then when lining was the key defensive strat.

edit: to clarify- all you need is spids to play defensive, chip at the cram, when sharks go forward, spids shift up and push in, after 2-3 times lady luck will let you in.

we haven't played 5 spiders once this season and we're tied for the best record in the league with a team we've beaten. So it's not the "everyone has to play 5 spiders" thing that people were worried about, but we certainly have been a little scared of throwing the old pallies 3/1/1 at people- having said that, it's not like any of you guys ever played 3/1/1 pre-cram either, so not much has changed.
