Well, most of the Standings aren't much of a surprise to me. But one is. Anti-Scrub has shined in every match, climbing up to a tie with Pallies for Western Conference leader. Before TWL regular season games began, A-S didn't seem to have much promise. But, with the aquisition of two great sharks - jr5 and za gophar, along with the old members, and a great terr like brookus, A-S uses Teamwork and motivation as a recipe for success
, it seems. They don't have a great reputation like Spastic or Pallies, but they're rolling over every squad they play. Just this past week they embarassed the stubborn -FINAL- lineup, holding them to 5 or 6 minutes. I see Anti-Scrub as TWLB Champions, to be honest.
Spastic also seems to be forming up to be one of the leading squads in TWLB, as they do pretty much every season. Even with the loss of Pure_Luck, Necromotic has taken the reigns as terrier and done a great job. Spastic also features a vast array of capable sharks, such as Stabwound, Jamal, Gabraham, and don't try to resist. Along with that, they have a hold of a great spider team, consisting of megaman89, Treble, Ethena, Selex, Stayon, and legwand. They're all -very- good spiders and seem to work pretty well together. Spastic is a major threat in TWLB this season, it is evident if you view the roster.
-FINAL- has been on a roll lately also, with a team of veterans that are difficult to beat. With a great terr like Mitch, and sharks like Domi, Sika, and Hannes, they have a stacked TWLB lineup. However, they somewhat lack in Spider depth. Cumulobimbus is a valuable acquisition for their Spider depth, and I see him contributing a lot to how far -FINAL- goes in TWLB. Raspi, SaiyanSoldier, and Hannes can play Spider well also. However, I would have Hannes and Sika shark, and Domi in javelin, one of his most dangerous ships. I see -FINAL- going far in TWLB, but not as TWLB Champions for any stretch of the imagination.
Rejected Basers and BasingCrew are having mediocre seasons thus far, RB doing slightly better than BC. However, BasingCrew is a young squad, and they have good players, but a lot are not very well known. However, with time, BasingCrew's good terrier in Everest, and efficient spiders such as Sumpson, A Splendid Sheep, Shayde, Hockeydude, Sublett, and Marchello, along with better than decent sharks in Wbm, Musashi and namnlos, I see BasingCrew staying around for a while, and having decent success this season, and much more in seasons to come. Rejected Basers have a good looking roster. However, I believe attendance problems have hurt them. Ajaxee is an extremely efficient terrier that shows up all the time, Vatican Assassin has paired with several different good sharks such as geekbot, HeavenSent, Coojma, and Big Ups. Though, where RB has the most attendance problems is with spiders. Lunch3, xvr (Xiver), Invincible, RabbitRapist, Hero*, Punk ROCK, and minkmink are their best spiders in my opinion. However, Invincible recently joined and hasn't played in a TWLB game yet due to his ineligibility. RabbitRapist, Lunch3, minkmink, and Punk ROCK have showed to most if not all of the TWLB games, which has worked in RB's advantage. In my opinion, if RB has Ajaxee in terrier, Vatican Assassin and Coojma in shark, and spiders Lunch3, xvr, Invincible, minkmink, and RabbitRapist, they could beat any squad that they faced off with. Also, the decreased attendance of a great jav, K2Grey, has forced them to play with 5 Spiders, which can help or hurt them, depending on which spiders show up. RB will have a good season, but I don't see them winning TWLB. BasingCrew will have a mediocre season, but also, not candidates for TWLB Champions. Hats off to both squads, though, they give it all they have every match.
Pallies are doing well in TWLB as usual. Not too much to discuss here. They have amazing depth within the lineup, which works in their advantage. I see these guys as serious candidates for TWLB Champs.
-------------------------------------------
(Well, that's the end of the Western Conference, Eastern Conference is below)
-------------------------------------------
Disoblige is a big surprise this season in TWLB. They're doing horribly, to be honest. 1-5 is an un-Disoblige like record, if you compare that to previous season records. Their roster is impressive, but their performance isn't. Their best players may not show up. Warportal has been good about appearing for the games. X Machine, Mootland Farmer, and Ephemeral are all amazing sharks. However, I would rather play Moot and Eph in shark, and utilize X Machine's spider talent, seeing as how the spiders that show up for Disoblige are not the best they have. Fit of Rage is showing up for games, but he can only do so much. Same with CrvenBan. But those are the only two Disoblige spiders I see consistently showing up for games. Perhaps if Mantra-Slider showed more, along with Smack Man, Shop, and Desperate, Disoblige would be having a better season thus far. The acquisition of Nockm was great for Disoblige, but again, a javelin is essentially supported by his/her spiders, and Nockm is elite, but can only do so much without spider support. I see Disoblige winning a few more games, but not going to the Playoffs.
Whiterabbits also have attendance problems. They're like RB, they could beat any squad they wanted with their ideal lineup. But the thing is, you have Pure_Luck, wadi, and BLeeN showing up for all of the games, but their best spiders aren't. They're great with terrier and shark every match, but spiders are a different story. If Ezo, LaBero, PyroBlast, Steph, and Kaze show up every game, they can beat any squad. Whiterabbits have depth in sharks, but really nothing else. WR has dll, First Knight, Malladrin, and Asmodeus, to name a few, as good sharks that can get the job done. The key to success for whiterabbits is getting the old veteran spiders to show up. I don't see this squad going to the playoffs, simply because of attendance problems and lack of depth in Spiders.
Well, onto the top squads now... Mambo is rolling. They have a great all around roster. With terriers like superstar-PROkiller and Chinostyla that can match up to most other terrs when their team supports them, and sharks like Credit Account and Pred_FNM, Mambo is in great shape so far. Mambo also has great depth in shark lineup, with sharks like Dyers Eve, Evul, fizzy, subby, Storage, Ancient_Lore and Lionheart that could take over at any time. If Mambo has Nuudeli, Philos, Lionheart, and Storage in spider, with the dangerous M_M God in javelin, Mambo has the capability to beat ANY squad in TWLB. I see Mambo having the best all around roster, simply because of the depth they have in every ship. They will never lack a good terr, two good sharks, and 4 or 5 good spiders, depending on if M_M God shows up to play Javelin, which he does every game.
Incuria is underestimated. They don't have a flashy roster, but it's quite efficient. Molgan, Khanos, and Zerzera all can terrier. PaulO and panhandler are one of the best shark duo's in TW, if not THE best. bliz (if he shows), Nimbostratus (if he shows), Eggs R Evil, Slicer, foobarz, cool koen, Pio, Final Hit, and Jeansi are all more than capable spiders. Lothlas is dangerous in javelin, thought for some games I think it would be smarter to put him in a spider. Incuria will go to the playoffs, and probably the semi-finals, but a lot of that is due to the other squads in the Conference, but I don't see them as Champions.
Syndicate is having an exceptional season thus far for a bunch of javelins that rarely practiced basing to be slapped together to make a pretty good basing lineup. I don't see them as Champions, but they're certainly impressing me so far. Hats off guys.

My Playoff Predictions
Semi Finals
Anti-Scrub vs. Pallies (Winner: Anti-Scrub)
Mambo vs. Incuria (Winner: Mambo)
Finals
Anti-Scrub vs. Mambo (Winner: Anti-Scrub)
Yeah, I pick the final four to be Pallies, Anti-Scrub, Mambo and Incuria. I see Anti-Scrub pulling out a victory at the end over Pallies, and Mambo beating Incuria with relative ease. Anti-Scrub will beat Mambo in the championships.
