  • Rule Ammendmant Suggestion

Well, after this whole Shriek conspiracy was revealed to the public, I realized that ... it wasn't really fair to a few squads. To use a real example, Pirates may not get into the playoffs ... but Whipe probably will, because they continue with Shriek's record, which was very good. That's not really fair. Also, in a made up example, maybe a squad that got kicked from TWL lost to a squad that the replacement would have beat. This is a difficult matter, and no matter which wad you slice it, someone will be unhappy. Therefore, I was thinking about this before I went to sleep last night, and I thjink I came up with a pretty good policy to make this more fair to squads.

    Rule Proposition
If the squad was disqualified halway through the regular season, or before that, all games that occured with the disqualified squad and another squad will be replayed in the remaining weeks. Every week an additional make up game will be scheduled until all games that occured with the disqualified squad in them are replayed with the substitute. For example, Shriek was disqualified from TWL. From the nearest week on, all games they participated in will be replayed in the following weeks, one replay added to each remaining week. Whipe (Shriek's replacement in TWLJ), would play their regularly scheduled game for that week, and an additional make up TWLJ for the first squad Shriek played in TWLJ. Then the next week, Whipe would play their regularly scheduled game for that week, and in additon another TWLJ versus the second squad Shriek played ... and so on and so forth. However, this isn't totally fair to the squads the disqualified team played and beat. Therefore, if a squad beat the disqualified squad before their disqualification, they will be awarded a "head-start" in the replay matches versus the substitute squad. For Javelin and Warbird, they will get a 10 kill head start, meaning each player will start 2-0, and each player foer the substitute squad will start 0-2. In Basing, they will receive a 3 minute head start, and the substitute squad will start at 0 minutes, 0 seconds. The "head-start" isn't totally fair to the replacement squad, but perhaps if they got into TWL when it started, they wouldn't have this problem.

If the disqualification occurred after midway through the TWL regular season, past rules apply, all games stand that happened, and the substitute squad takes the wins and losses of the disqualified squad, and plays the remainder of the season. There's not much else you can do with this.

Replacement squads don't take the old squads record. Whipe started 0-6 for example.

You're just retarded. There is a reason the replacement squad wasn't in TWL in the first place. This is too much shit to go through to make things "fair" to a squad that wasn't good enough to get in.

I agree with proj, a replacement squad this late in the season should just be happy to get some TWL experience.

Playoff entrance is based on points. A replacement squad would basically have to win all their games to get into playoffs. Each win gives 3 points in the respective league. A replacement squad begins with a record of 0-x, with x being the number of weeks that have already passed.

i dont think those squads start with a bunch of loses... they start with 0-0 and just get less weeks than everyone else to try to get enough wins to get into the playoffs.

in the past they start 0-x (x = num. of weeks passed), this year they start 0-0

same thing anyway, except with out a bunch of loses added to your rec that you never actually got a chance to win
                        ...

You couldn't win those games anyway, and I suppose it doesn't hurt anything to start 0-0 instead of 0-6 except for posterity, since you didn't really lose those 6 games. It's just the wins that count.

I dont think he was talking about it being fair for the replacement squads (whipe, defiancy, asevoimat) I think he was talking about making it fair for the squads who played them EARLIER in the season. Much like pirates (who he braught up) had a big loss to shriek in lj, or diso who had a big loss to shriek in LJ. If they got to replay them vs whipe im sure they'd either 1) win or 2) atleast get close. So in reality it'd be more fair for the squads who had to play shriek already.

About these squads not being good enough to make TWL in the start. Fact is (besides asevoimat) those other 2 squads werent around for the start. I think Whipe would of been alot better in LJ then elenya/melee and so on. I also think Defiancy would of put up a better fight then possibly melee/sk8 bc they would of grown during the season.

cig you know what, i'd love to replay our shriek game against whoever their replacement is in TWLJ... but the fact is, we lost a TWLJ game. And while shriek may be out, we are not. It counted for us and we only get 10 games, same as everyone else.
