I didnt read all the whole thread, but this is good reasons why squads like BS/NS were allowed back into the league w/o having to requalify. U always knew those squads would last the whole season, even if they wouldnt perform up to par. Nowdays u cant trust any squad that is created just for TWL much like alf was and so on.

What we need to do to our leagues is this:
Before twd came along, being in league was a more coveted thing. Squad <Newb> wasn't able to beat a bunch of other less than well established squads to get a fill in spot. More than that, decent squads weren't able to get easy points before the season against squads that pop up with 1000 pts to get the rank it takes to get in. Solutions? How about

1) New squads in TWD could start with something like 750 and get mega credit for beating top 10 opponents. First 10 or 20 matches maybe.

2) Have League Ops choose squads to enter during the season. Humans may use poor judgement sometimes, but actually looking at who they played to get to #1 makes a little bit of sense.

3) Most importantly, I think- Reduce the # of squads down to 12 per league. Keep the playoff squads (& ones with winning records that got unlucky being placed in the tougher division), but don't let so many in. Every squad under the sun shouldn't be allowed in. People shouldn't be saying, Who?

I'd like to give my congrats to Verone. They seem to be the only "newb" squad that didnt dissolve/had problems. They are together since the start of TWL and are doing a pretty nice job. keep it guys!

They really need to set a minimum limit on the time that a squad has competed in TWD before they can qualify for TWL. Say 4 or 5 months? That is more than enough time to eliminate all the unstable squads that pop up.
