basing is the worst in my opinion.
staying alive in base is only the objective for one guy, the terr.
16 people jammed into a small flag room with no room to be creative with your shots because bullets, bombs and bursts flying around you all the time.
add to that the annoying sharks repping you all the time
just stray bullets and hope your team strays more than the other team.
just my opinion, not meant as the insult in the way that i'm sure many basers will see it as.

seems like this topic comes up often. all 3 leagues take skill and all 3 leagues take teamwork obviously. imo:

takes the most natural ability to play at the highest level: wb=base (terrier)>jav>base (others)
practice helps the most in: base>jav>wb
most teamwork: base>jav>wb
most important to not be a moron in: base (ship 1,2,5,8)>jav>base (spid)>wb

Which league is the most important all depends on each individual persons' opinion. All 3 can receive a huge spectator turnout, just depends on the parties involved. Simply put, it's strictly an objective opinion.

One thing I do have a problem with is people who try to simplify basing. "Put 8 people in a flagroom! They all fire randomly like monkies! It's all luck! Whoever lags the most! No creativity involved! They're all robots!" It's honestly not that cut and dry. Little things make the difference and the majority of the time people have to commit themselves to thinking about, and then doing those little things. Much of the time executing said little things (eating a bullet for the terr, timing reps, etc. etc.) requires ample creativity. It would be the equivalent of me saying "dueling only comes down to who gets the most stray kills!". We all know that isn't true. Furthermore, you're not really in a position to comment on the ins-and-outs of a league you don't play, Awesome.

As far as my own opinion is concerned, I like all three leagues the same. I base the most, though.

just because all you can do is base doesn't mean it is the holy grail of trench wars.

it could be the terr, as randedl mentioned, it could be a killer jav that keeps killing the enemy terr repeatedly or it could be just a very good shark who keeps reping the other guys at the right time and keeping his team in it

The most important league is TWL-D because that is the league and only league that TWL was a couple years ago under Slowbob's control on the TWL server. One thing good about that league was you could use lancs and spiders and shit instead of all birds.

Without TWL-D we wouldn't have thought to make the other leagues. Big props to Dantax and company for making this shit work and doing it up the first times in TWDL and TWJL as well as TWBL.

However, with that said, I have been playing the terrier (red ship) and have succeeded to the highest level of perfection in this game by winning a TWL-B (the first one). That's why this is the league I put the most effort into and really the only one I enjoy. Continuance of my playing the terrier in league basing keeps me playing this game.

I agree with Mitch, having played in the wb-only TWL league back in the day, I've always had and still have the most respect for the TWLD title grabbers. League numero uno for me

All about preference. Agree with Mitch's comments on TWL-D being the first and longest lasting. Being the original one must respect it. First real league title (not counting twdl days) I won and the and primary ship I play has been Jav for a long time so TWL-J holds a special place with me. TWL-B to me is the most unpredictable league which requires the most teamwork. TW is a highly competitive zone, in the last two seasons of 3league play, no one has yet to win more then one league, at the end of the day players should be happy with winning any of the three championships.

To me TWLB is the only league there is, never cared a bit about TWLJ and TWLD.
