People enjoy this stupid thread. If you disagree and refuse to offer an intelligent reply, I would encourage you to just close your browser window.

If you can manage to reply in a manner that has proof to back your claims, or even a semi-coherant opinion as opposed to character attacks, I would love to read it.

As such, if you can't, I'll just wind up ignoring your future replies.

Camping vs. Aggression

I am picking up that some people disagree with my placing Spybreak at number one because the manner in which he got there.

A back-row camping spot, while not quite as interesting as a more aggressive front row, or charging... is still a legitemate and effective position.

It can, in fact, land a fair amount of terrier kills due to shark repels and attempts by an aggressive terrier to push.

The weakness of it may lie in attach deaths... but as Spybreak as proven through his predominant use of the tactic... it doesn't really compromise your kills.

A balance of aggression and defensiveness in a team generally makes for a better team. Anti-Scrub has that balance. They do well with it. If Spybreak played aggressively, who knows where A-S would be right now?

So, to the naysayers and guessers out there... if you don't care for my opinions, then don't bother reading them, much less replying, unless you plan to actually SAY something more than "you are new" or "you are wrong".

If you have a legitemate point to make, make it, I'm not unreasonable, I'm anything but that... I'll probably be able to see your point of view, as will the forum community.

That having been said...

I admire aggression, especially when it is timely and well used. When I am announcing, I almost never call anything done by the back row... it's not really 'in the action' as far as I see it.

I was going mainly on stats, I don't have the time (or, honestly, the attention span) to see everyone play, unfortunately.

I was trying to make the judgements SOLELY based on TWLB [and not on how they play in other areas] so I tried to keep personal bias to a minimum... (including my biases on play style) ...

Holydude can kill me any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Howard, I believe you've missed a great spider that has been put in the background due to his squad not performing great; megaman89. He's one of the best all around, active, and consistent Spiders around, in my opinion.

I know you relied on statistics, but perhaps he should have been named on your 'private' list. Even during Spastic's worst losses, he always came out with a solid number at least over 100 kills.

He also combines camping and pushing quite well, and can come up with the occasional terrier kill.

Just thought I'd mention him since he's been left out of the mix.

Yeah, I have to agree, he should have come to mind when I was pondering my private list, his aggression is pretty good, and he is usually pretty solid when it comes to putting a few pills into the terrier, too, at least from what I've seen thusfar.
