Archer wasn't just a star in the TWLD finals last year, he was the man. I don't recall his record, and I don't feel like looking it up, but he held out FOREVER in Round 2 I believe it was, just barely failing to keep Melee in it.

I don't think anyone remembers how laggy Archer was in that finals match, he was laggier then Sika on his laggiest day. Either way, I think he gets more credit then he deserves even though he had a good game, from what I remember he didn't do too well in the other playoff matches and wasn't a big part of Melee in regular season.

I think a lot of people are forgetting Anon, who was definitely one of the top stars for Melee last season, did well through regular season and all of playoffs and didn't have horrible lag as an advantage. I think Connection also played a big part for Melee during the season, but I don't think Archer was one of their top stars. I'd say Anon, Randedl, and Connection were their top 3 stars of last season.

I do I do. Rand and I were arguing on staff chat one night about that. He said they would have won if I didn't apperently lag out one hit somewhere near the end. I replied well Archer ate about 15 shots, and Rand said something to the effect of 'well Archer is Euro so he's allowed to lag, but you're Canadian'!

Honestly, I think of Synd as more or less the older of the skill that either of the squads offer, but GV feels like the younger, more energetic squad. It'll be cool to be able to have first row seats!
