Have the final occur on Saturday, the day before finals (assumming people will want finals on Sunday again next season). A lot of people are already dedicating about 5 hours of their day on Sunday just watching matches and they don't need to spend even more time in the game. And the guys playing in the finals probably don't really care about playing in anything else. Plus then you don't have to schedule it either real early or real late to avoid conflicting with twl finals
Theoretically if only the winners make it to finals of twldm then you could end up with only 1 squad in the finals if the same squad won every week. Not likely... I suppose if that happened you could make that squad inelligable from playing in the last week so that someone else could make it in.
I like the idea of having to win it to get in because it makes it a bit more of an accomplishment to make it into finals and maybe squads will care more about making an effort to win finals then. Also it eliminates the strategy of hiding until all the squads that haven't won already are knocked out. Granted hiding will still be rampant, but it makes it a lot harder for 1 guy to hide the whole time and get his team into the finals, at least this way he'll have to kill some squad at the end. I suppose you could offer an MVP game which the player with the most kills every week gets invited to and that might make the game a bit more interesting, but that might be overkill.
