Next TWL I'd like to see a game with the losers of the TWL semis. Being the second runner up isn't a too bad acheivment and I think alot of squads would be happy to get it.. It could be set up the weekend after the TWL finals.. It's not hard at all, and it would work with any TWL matchup templates chosen..

I don't think it's worth it to set up. I think it's kind of pointless to play such a game because it virtually says "I was pretty good but not good enough" for both squads playing. Winning a 3rd place game isn't much consolation, and losing is just as bad as being eliminated in the quarter-finals.

What would it hurt? Its for 3rd place! In my mind in this game 3rd place isnt to bad, especialy with all the compatition nowdays. It wouldnt really need any "setting up" All you would have to do is have the 2 semi losers play each other the same week as the finals, just differnt times.

I think a squad like incuria (if we would have gotten to semi's) would like to know they were still third behind 2 brilliant squads (pallies and anti-scrub). You are still the best of the rest sort of speak.. I would definatly like this.

What I want is a cup where the losers continue. It's really cool I once played a football tournament like it. In the end you start trying just to get out of the tournament (or in some cases, to avoid further humiliation).

we tried to do this in dsb back in the day. the game was always a joke, no one gave a shit, no one played their good lineups, no one watched it, it was just dumb.

Thats bc dsb ppl are stupid about some things. I think if u did this here in TWL either b4 the finals, or rite after it (fe hrs after) but on the same day you would get alot of ppl there to watch it.

It mite not work for LD/LJ bc the additudes of some of those ppl are bad and they dont really care. Like this season i imagine -f- wouldnt of even shown up for a 3rd place game once they lost to pallies in lj. Although i think it would probably work for LB bc those squads generaly are more into that type of thing and i think they'd show up and play it out.

no, it would still be dumb. no one gives a fuck who comes in 3rd. not even the teams who might come in 3rd. after you lose the semis you dont feel like playing some bullshit game to see who is the better loser.

the only teams that would be interested in such a game are teams that would never make the semis.

They should make a map that would display trophies and name them after elite players who help make the zone what it is today. Kind of like what HZ has but trophies that are awarded to the : overall mvp of ld, overall mvp of lj and lb etc, best aim, most liked player and shit like that. let the people vote and see what happens. :up:

Nothing ever works when u let the ppl vote. I mean it would all be a popularity contest between a handfull of pilots. As an example, u could say Cape would deserve best LJ pilot award, but probably wouldnt get it bc he isnt near as nice to ppl as some one like rough or others. ITS all about how many friends u got and that isnt how it should be done. Let the ops, or a handful of unbiased ppl pick.

This isn't the Olympics; no one cares enough about TWL to fight for 3rd place, as it means absolutely jack squat and no one will remember or care about it.

There is a difference between the vote for pres and voting ont his game 1st the biggest difference is the majority of this game is kids. You have to be an adult to vote on november. 2nd one is they have electoral colleges (im sure u know all about this, probably more then me) which do the "real" voting. The Popularity vote does alot, but when it comes down to it its up to the electoral colleges.
