why reset?

This is about ladder not being reset. If you, as a serious squad with league potential, can't get more of a rating since August than a newbiesquad can in one month, you don't deserve to be in. That's why it would be a good thing not to reset the ladder.
Please read the post I was referring too, the only reason the ladder would be reset is to be sure no inactive squads enter. (A squad could have reached 1400 points in their glory days in august, and now only have 4 active players left who play a sucky game once in a while to stay on the ladder)
So it would be a good solution to keep TWD running and pick the active top-squads of every league in Januari or December, I was saying that you should define ACTIVE so we don't get inactive squads who can't bring enough players for TWL. So the situation of last season, you brought up, doesn't apply to what I was saying.

I wish Staff would just form a small council or something. Then they could take the TWD stats, talk to the captains, and make sure the squads getting into TWL are stable. It's really that simple, it would also weed out the cheap-ass squads. This of course, requires some extra work, so there is no way in hell it'll happen.

They already do this but to a lesser extent. TWL Staff will talk to the captains, confirming that they want to participate in their achieved league. I mean, if you are at a high enough rank on the ladder, and you confirm your entrance into TWL, you're in basically. It can be unfair though if a new squad gets into TWL using "less orthodox" methods, I mean staff can't just for-go this and simply remove their right to TWL. It's not as simple as you think unless of course the team cheats, which is a blatent removal of rights from TWL.

Sry, but i think ur wrong, lets take actual ladder as example,

point difference between top 5 to 14 is big, so if you are 14 and play 1, if you win, you get lots of points, if you lose you lose just a few, right ?

IF you give 1 month difference will be small, so if you are 14 and play 7 you may change positions, but if you are 14 on jd for example and convince anzwarbirdz that got (1000) to play a jd against you, you might get like 20 points, do 15 jds with those ppl and you gonna get like 1100.

Lets imagine an average squad on ladder that has the same 1100 but playing sometimes top (losing more than winning) and other squads, if they play #1 they may lose points that will compromise their positions.

the better squads who wants to place for TWL has enough time WITHOUT the reset to do it.

I am not sure if this has been mentioned already or not, but i'll mention it anyways. To possibly encourage teams to play the better teams, is it possible to reset only the teams that didn't make it to the playoffs last year? That would mean that all the other teams would go back to 1000, but the playoff teams might be at 1300-1500, which would make it more worthwhile to play the better teams.

I dont think that would help anything else but basing. If u look @ the other 2 leagues most of the playoff squads are either 1) dead or 2) inactive as can be. I dont think That would help to much. I think u should just keep the ladders as they are now, if a team is good eno ugh for TWL they'll make it anyway reset or not.

they should just go back to picking the squads they think are most qualified to be in twl... and use twd as a reference for that....

that way squads have to prove their good enough by playing top squads... not just playing vs. no-namers and racking up like 10 ladder pts per game and doing it 10 times a day.

Reseting ladder is just way to give next Light etc. easier change to get into TWL when that squad will be found max 1 week before picking will be made. This way they dont need to get 500 points but only 200-300.

The TWD ladders have been reset for the final time before TWL selections are to begin. This will give squads over 2 months for the ladder to settle down. Thanks
