The whole issue with their being not that many "great" squads out there. I mean the problem is few good vets start squads now adays and just n00bs try to make squads work and they stay up for about 2 weeks then die out. it is the same thing everytime.

Nothing really matters until December. People have to realize that some of these "vets" are getting to a stage in their life where they simply don't have the time for this game, and some people have to be more accepting of these first year guys.

Things will work out in the end, they always do. Man... weren't things so much more exciting in TW when you first stepped out of pub though?

On topic, you're probably right. All the TWL squads from last year have no incentive to play (outside of enjoyment/fucking around) since they qualify already (spastic, mambo, diso, pallies etc). But hey, what are you gonna do? Pay us to play this game? Where do I sign up?

And an incline of new talent that vets like to overlook because it's not the "same" as it was back in their day. God damn, if you agree with not caring about this game anymore Nick, why take the time to add to the pesimism of this post?

Each season and each year a new group of people come in that have pretty good talent. Of course this talent is USUALLY (not always) overshadowed by the vets who have been playing longer than them. This is fine, except now these vets are starting to leave. What we have now are these "new groups" establishing themselves in these upcoming leagues. There isn't a decline of talent, it's just a decline of talented people we're all familiar with, and a large number of people starting to get good that we're unfamiliar with (and whom also haven't developed (as a player) as well as the vets have over their longer period of time playing the game (because these 'vets' have had a much longer time to do so).

I'm sorry if I came off harsh Nick, I'm not trying to, nor do I even have an inch of dislike for you. I'm trying to calm some people the fuck down because they think TW has hit its peak and is now going downhill. It's not, and all I see people doing is adding to this fire by saying, "Yah, I remember in the old days when everyone was awesome like Light and Seige and Elusive... now everyone sucks... I don't remember what my point was though.... oh yah, you're all screwed, just quit and stop caring like me."

Everything will be fine when it comes to regular season time. From what I've experienced, if ANYTHING, the seasons get more and more competetive (in a sense matches are closer, less perfect record seasons, etc. etc.) and things have become a lot more exciting, especially with TWLJ and TWLB. So chill the fuck out, and relax this off season... you'll see that, come December, things will get much more hectic on the TWD ladder as the leagues come nearer and nearer. Inactivity happens every year, hell I participate in it, but sometimes people take it the wrong way, and think it's the end of the Trench War's World.

Summary (for lazy people): No the 'talent' of TW isn't declining. No this off season isn't anything out of the ordinary. No I don't hate Nickname
