TWL Cutoff Date and Quals

What place do you have to be in to Qual for TWL, and when is the cutoff date.

That depends on what league you're trying to qualify for. TWL spots will be filled by returning playoff squads with invites, and then by going down the TWD ladder excluding squads already accepted. For example, if Mambo, Spastic, A-S, Pallies, Disoblige, Incuria, and -Final- all have invites, that's 7 of 14 positions filled. The TWL ops would then choose the top 7 squads in the TWD ladder that have not already been selected.

As for a cutoff date, it will most likely be the end of December, but I haven't heard anything definate yet.

The TWL Qualifying date hasn't been announced yet, Nor has the teams who automatically recieve invites. That will be done shortly.

They/we never left roster, a squad can choose to not play TWD matches if they reached playoffs. Thats what -F- did, they didnt play TWD and their roster is actually almost the same as last year. If the TWD system removes squad from TWD just because of inactivity, thats the systems fault.

In other words, the auto-qualify principle for playoffs squads is to, as in an other thread got posted, make sure squads dont have to enforce themselves in playing TWD to get into TWL.

TWD is still something else than TWL. TWD is used to qualify for TWL and practise in general. So if -F- is already qualified for TWL they technically dont have to care about TWD. And remember when TWD wasnt even around just two years ago, squads could still be alive without doing practises, so lets not stare blind on TWD too much.

Will the TWL ops invite the top 7 that havnt been invited? Or will it be according to their discretion? If it is the top 7 on the ladder, I think that might kinda suck seeing as how squads like heavy and MM will get in. What say thee?

As i said in the other thread i think a squad should have to show signs of life to be considered alive. Now i think -f- will be in TWL regardless if they have to requalify or nott. thats not the question at hand.
