hmm well I think that they shouldn't get in TWLB because they never accept good squads and if they have played some even close or won it been 5v5 example that TeKs match I think EVEN TeKs is better...not sure but would be nice to have "close" TWLB

Having said that, I agree that the TWL qualification system needs to be fixed, but people have been saying that since we started using this automated system and it's not changed yet.

i dunno why people bother posting about ancients still...everyone in TW knows how lame they are in every aspect of the game (with a few...very few exceptions)...besides, some squads are gonna need 15-0:02 wins anyway

strange how pirates haven't played spastic or dice or disoblige. . . sk8 haven't played spastic or diso or venom, and neither have played ancients. . . those are all top 5 squads too.

when they have to qualify, everybody picks their opponents to an extent. sk8 wouldn't have played dice unless they had their best lineup on, and pirates have been reluctant to play venom as of late. and i don't see either lining up to play spastic or diso. . .

that's the way the system works. if a squad manages to qualify by playing low-rating teams, then they have qualified and deserve it in my opinion.

change the rules and i might change my answer.

yes, i agree, but reallly....who cares?

this is a game where lag is rampant, people double and triple squad, play against squads they created to gain more points, won't cancel matches even if there's a good reason, spawn, lame, vulch, etc...

they haven't broken any rules, they'll probably brush up on their bding before TWL, they won't win, but maybe they'll be decent (or not). But I don't see any squads that can win that Ancients is replacing.

It's really just a matter of who wants to finish 9th more, Ancients or someone else. At the end of the day, how they do it is rather trivial, because other squads can just as easily do the same thing they did.

The fact everyone noticed what they've been doing so late is just credit to their devious efforts, and maybe a slight bit of anger/jealously that they didn't sink as low to make TWBD.

It's sad for some squads that are basing squads or play good people and might not make it because of Ancients, but that's life. It will just make squads playing Ancients in BD that much hungrier and next time around other squads will get wise, delegate who they play more cautiously come TWL and not come full circle realizing that Ancients is going to get in and they're not 5 days before TWD closes.

Playing Spastic 5 times in a row or whatever may be admirable, but it's also foolish. Ancients is in TWLB, and that's that. Maybe next year the system will (hopefully) be revamped. It took Edison 10,000 tries to get the lightbulb right :grin:

The simple fact is that while we may avoid the top 3 squads in ALL OF TWLB we are by no means avoiding the middle to bottom tier TWLB teams. Ancients completly are.

I say that stab is rite. Nothing has been done since this system has been put in place and this kind of thing been brought up every year now. ITs simple, let them make twlb and then they can go 0-10 and everyone can destroy them 15:00 - 00:02. Its the best way to look at it.

pirates is #2. . . they have a few more credible wins. between the three of them, they have 2 wins against squads that are locks for twlb this season.

the fact is that they are all afraid to lose, even though they probably have lineups that are fairly decent. this is because of the limited space in twlb.

chances are, none of these squads will be in the playoffs, nor the running for the playoffs. there are probably 10-12 squads that will be in the running for the top 8 spots. the last couple spots are for the bottom tier teams. not alot of room left is there?

are these squads good enough to play in twlb? sure, if they had the practive and the drive to play better squads. as is right now, they are fighting over very limited spaces and have very little room for error unless they are winning 3-4 easy games a day.

sk8 is #1 and ancients are #3. . . ancients are about as active (save for a very busy day for sk8 on january 8th) and haven't lost to some of the teams sk8 has (dudgeon).

am i anti-sk8 or pro-ancients? no, i don't care either way.

let the twd system deal with it, because neither has proven they deserve the spot.

That's a pretty shitty argument. So you're saying you're not abusing the system by avoiding the top teams, but ancients is abusing it by avoiding more teams than you guys. So basically, i could say I'm not as bad as a serial killer because i've only killed a couple of innocent people in my life.

Then maybe all of us would get a feeling of actually winning something in LB, even if it just was the spot to play.
