Sumpson with the number of questionable squads being let into TWLB and other divisions, does it really make sense to let them return next year? Now their competitiveness in LB aside, will this help their squad get better, bring more competition to TWD next year?
There are allowed pretty much squads into the league, but those who belong there are the ones who will still be alive the next season. The ones who did good and have a stable roster, and survive after all will be the ones who are actually able to get better players because of their assured TWL possition. and be stronger in TWD. I think the competition will be more spread over the squads wich get autoqualified into next league. now most of the talent is with the auto qualified squads aswell.
I planned on replying to whole your post, but all other you said is not worth replying to. <_<
I think a smarter idea would be to make EVERYONE re-qualify. The whole atu qualifying thing is a nice benefit and all, but making everyone fight for a spot all year around will only add to activity and competition in leagues, instead of having rusty returning squads taking up the spots in twl(NOT PALLIES THO :P)

basically your saying, lets just not let any new squads in to TWL.. so the only hope in hell a new squad has of getting in is if a sqaud that has "auto-qualificationed" dissolves and that 1 place would be fought over, alot. im sorry but i would get so bored playing the same squads over and over again. clearly that idea excites you.
You might want to read my posts again. This system would mainly prevent squads who play easy squads all the time getting into league.

There is also a big chance many pallies members would have left for a different league squad instead this way..

Was it also like the squads wich were in the previous league pick the replacement squads for dissolved league squads? I think this is the biggest plus factor of my idea.

I like the idea of either everyone or no one has to requalify. Part of the reason the ladder is weird is b/c some TWL squads don't need to worry about their ranking so they have low rankings even though they are good. My idea was to reset TWL already qualified squads to a higher starting ranking- but if everyone had to qualify, there would be no need for that. All squads need to worry about their ranking and hopefully the best squads should make it to the top each time.
The only downside is there would be less of a break (or no break) for those of us who can't BD every month. So the exact opposite- if every TWL squad was invited back and no one had to requalify (keeping the existing rules of needing to return 50% of your TWL roster, etc.)- seems like a good plan too. That kind of a system would emphasize more continuity from TWL to TWL). The only squads that have to fight for a spot would be the few fighting for whatever openings we have from squads dissolving, etc.).
I like both. I probably like having all squads requalify though because I think everyone fighing for a spot each time would force the ladder to sort out better each time.
There were reasons why we didn't want to have everyone requalify but I don't remember them anymore.

I'm saying that some of the current squads in leagues right now shouldn't be because we have a broken TWD system. Your idea would make TWL not a league. How will new squads get to this point by competiting? how will new talent be found if the elitist (and the TWD abusers) hold reign over who plays?
bottom line: You need proper qualification procedures and auto-invite reviews for TWL. Your system would make squads lazy and reduce competitive game play in TWD and make the public apathetic to TWL. The auto invites are for squads who we know will bring a good line up, be active and competitive in their divisions but not get screwed out due to extenuating circumstances. This shouldn't change. If a squad wants to work towards becomming an Auto quilifying squad then, yes, we should have a set procedure for bring them in.
Two problems, 2 solutions, you probably should have read the rest of my post.

Well after the little change we got here, all squads wich should get in got in.
16 is a pretty big amount, wich makes my idea even beter because now there will more likely be squads who dissolve and thus a new basing squad could get in. If there is a TWBD squad wich has names no one heard of and beats squads like disoblige, mambo, spastic often I am sure all the league squads will vote them in.
Squads need more stability, they get help with this by gaining an auto-qualification for league.
I don't think it would make squads more lazy then it would make squads more active while they dont want to.
I think with my idea you have more benefit then only solving those 2 problems.
I did read the rest of your other post, it just didnt make much sence to me.

Most of them did anyway, so that's not really a problem.

Think of the long term effects of it Sumpson. Eventually squads will stop disolving because of the stability they gain from being auto quilified, new squads won't be there to take over because they have no real way of getting into leagues through skill and competitiveness. The ability to actually play in TWL is taken out of the hands of the players and given to 16 or so caps. Addressing cheating by damaging and making the league stagnent isn't solving it, it's ignoring it.
