Schedule?

Its already wednesday and no schedule is up for us to negotiate again. When are we gonna start getting the schedules up like monday so we have a week to negotiate. It would be nice if they were up sooner.

Also if anyone knows whats going on with TWLM, why isnt that updated yet? OR are we going to skip another week?

I agree that you need a lot more than 2 1/2 - 3 days to schedule games. As far as TWLM goes, I think they should just scrap it for this year because it's never going to work until the bots automatically update the site.

I think P_l can still post news even if the site in itself doesn't work. He should have posted something like <guys, start negociating together cuz the we may be having nsome problems> .

I thought this might be a good thread to address some other issues with the TWL site that I've noticed.

In no particular order:

1. Would be nice to have a last updated date on the Rules section (Last Updated: 3-2-05) or whatever, because even if rule changes are posted on the forums people may not read them and it would be nice to know when they were last updated.

2. Current 'Standings' information isn't correct, seems that Week 1 hasn't been added in from what I can see.

3. Statistics still isn't functioning either, last season I remember this working.

4. Hot or Not, Week 2 still hasn't been added, this could be easily organized by simply making a place to submit articles for hot or not completed by anyone that wants to take a stab at it. From there the staff would have many articles to choose from, they could simply choose one that they find is the most interesting, etc and post it right away.

5. Still haven't seen or heard of what is going to be the function of the Articles section this season.


As far as TWLM goes, its sad to see it isn't functioning either this season yet. I understand that the automatic updating of scores, etc needs to be functioning for this to happen. I'm curious what kind of programmers you guys need for this to happen.. does the bot have to communicate with the site.. does it include any PHP scripting or? The reason I ask is because I have a few friends that code PHP and other languages professionally these days and I've known them 9+ years. So if the staff needs help possibly someone that really knows how to get these things functioning could help?

Maybe the work could be split into groups, three staffers each taking a group [TWLD, TWLJ, TWLB] and inputting it into the database. All it would take is some patience at first so that Bleen could explain how its done to the other two. Anyways, just a suggestion. I would like to see TWL up and running smoothly.

The data isn't being manually entered into the database. It is being synced from another database. So we are working on a way to do this properly and should have it ready by the weekend or close to it. I apologize for not posting on the forums/website about what is going on and I will try to post more in the future. TWL is running pretty smooth in terms of functionality. There are certain qwerks that are being fixed as we see them but overrall it should improve. Sorry about the delay in scheduling. Thanks
