      Of course, someone could come up with a superior strategy to cramming. Or at least an excellent cram-breaking strategy. Cram is used simply because it is the best defense known.

          not trying to start a big argument here... but all the 4 spider limit was prove that whoever had the laggiest jav had a much bigger advantage...

          bottom line is that forcing a jav... makes people put someone into a ship that probably shouldnt be in it....

          the only way to deal with laggy assed javs is pure spider power to hope that u hit him with enuf shots that he cant fire by the time he lags thru everything.... so if guys really wanted to play a jav right now... they would...

          i think thats the bottom line... the option is there and squads simply arent taking it...

              i think the cram is broken far easier now then it ever was... brook is right that a cram breaking strat is needed.. but there is squads that already really dont have problems breaking most crams

              ill keep squadnames out of this... but there is a few squads that break any cram fairly easy just because they have the laggiest nastiest sharks out there that simply eat 15 shots in a cram and then mine the cram.... doesnt always work but more often then not... and the other side of it is while they eat those shots their spiders are raping from behind it....

              terrs are far more aggressive attacking the cram then they were in days gone by.. because they have to in order to get in... i remember when i started playing #mythrandir and Myth told me one time "just stay safe out of fire range and let us break it then follow in" back then it was great advice... now days u sit back and highly unlikely u will get in

              lots of options...... people are breaking crams more so.. seems to be lots of more really great flag fights going on...

              i for one dont find 5vs5 spider flag fights boring... they are usually pretty intense

                Of course a variety of ships is more interesting than 5 spiders, but forcing the teams to play a certain lineup is dumb. Leave it the way it is, but tweak the spider. I dunno why no one considers this.

                  That's perfect arguements FOR the 4 spider limit, what you are describing makes the game more fun, it also makes you think about your hiring and lineup making policy. Besides, you can chose from a jav, wb and a lanc. Anyway, a little unpredictability makes the game much more fun.

                    Hey, I wouldn't care if they made it a 4 spider limit. My squad could easily plug in Domi or Nockm in jav, two of the best base javs I've seen to play the game.

                    Works for me either way.

                        It is easy to say that the staffers should tweak a ship you don't exactly play.

                        Lately javs in ?go base have started roofing (mainly because nockm showed them it's pretty effective when done right), I was thinking if the map could be modified to make it easier to get to the roof. Open up a hole in mid or something.

                          I agree with that, but you could als make some more holes in the fr... like not just the cramhole, and the 2 side holes.... but like 2 inbetween the cramhole and the side holes aswell....
                          That way you could still cram, but it makes it far harder.... which is cool cause you get more fr fights and also you have to figure out the correct line for your group of players. Also you probably have to use an entire new technique...

                            I dont think its near as bad this season as last season. Last season and the season b4 the cram was so hard to break. A squad would only break it like once or 2 times a match if that. Nowdays im seeing even the bottom squads breaking the cram of the top squads atleast a few times a game. I think it just took time for an attack to develope and squads are finaly gettin there.

                            Leave the ships as they are (setting wise) but i wouldnt mind a 4 spid limit, doesnt really matter to me. I think in the end it would be the same type of game with a jav or something in there, a lanc is basicly like a spider anyway, all those 5 spid squads would probably just play a lanc.

                              why do spiders have to suffer

                              It's all about TicTacs.
                              5 spiders can cram good BUT if the nme tries to enter then yall know u need to push to enter and if the sharks team good entering a base wont be very hard.
                              So quite the bs about the spiderlimit and try to learn "How 2 Enter Base"

                                What I've also noticed lately, is that the amount of kills spiders get is dropping. Before time race got implemented the spiders were getting 100+ kills in the 20 minute point games, now you usually get 80-90 kills max in a near 20-minute game. Maybe this is the reason why crams are a bit weaker this year.
