I think its bc basing tends to take more time to complete, especialy in the playoffs. The dice/A-s game took something like 35 minutes+ to finish, where a twld 3 round game could be over in soemthing like 45 minutes. You'd have to play for like 2 hrs if it went to 3 rounds.

Plus i think thats why they raised it up to 20 minutes. If you are choking it gives u plenty of time to regain ur composure and win.

Thats pretty ez. Original wb matches have allways been best out of 3 rounds, while there never was an official basing competition before. Besides that, non-official base matches are 1 round too, while non-official wb matches are best of three too.

Yup, TWL was one round originally, while TWDT or whatever it was called was best of 3. I agree tho that best of 3 in basing would be a fucking bore. If you can't win in a race to 20 you just aren't the best that day.
