My point is people can bring some reasoning to why or why it should not be a restriction in TWLB games, that's the point of this thread. PL can read through the crap and I dont know why a dueler would be intrested in this thread anyways. He's active enough to know who's a baser and who's good at it at least and the opinions of the squad captains are not all that important really when it comes to making such a change to the league. Balancing game play and making it more fun is important, not making it more "elite" or better for a few people who find it boring.

The inherent problem with five spiders is it does nothing but offer a flurry of bullets flying across the screen. Javs and warbirds being required would offer a much more diverse matchups.

I think the squads should have the freedom to chose any lineup. Last season i was in favore of a spider limit, but i changed my mind this year.

Its not that every squad doesnt have a nockm or a real good bird/jav, its just sometimes those squads put there laggiest player in jav which ruins the game. I seen it done b4 when a laggy jav eats every bullet then kills ur terr, just sucks to me.

Edit: I also agree w/ stab that the squadcaptains for next TWL should be the one voting on this not all the players bc you will have players who dont even play in TWLB voting and make it all messed up.

I think a 4 spider limit would spice TWLB back up because it would add some unpredictability and more action to the games in my opinion plus require more specilization and change of techniques. Any idiot can learn to cram imo. I mean look at Teks and who saw Dice coming out of the woodwork to ownerize base? I sure as hell didn't.

I don't think there would be a drastic difference as in it would kill/eliminate some squads from competing because I played wb for a majority of Venom's games and we were competitive even without 4 uber elite spiders.

Hell, I would hope some new talent would pop up instead of idiots saying "nockm" is too good. But, people like deck shouldn't waste their breathe trying to be good.


I talked with a couple of TWLB playoff starting terrs and they seem to be in agreement that terring with a 5spid limit gets boring. But, I guess on the flip side dying to wbs and javs can be boring too.

I see the 5 spider limit to be the equivalent of the "restrictor plate" in Nascar. Basically, these plates cut down on the power for the car so all the cars go at a similar speed and its more ephasis on passing and drafting than horsepower.

Now, how they balance this out is by just having them on select races. Now, if you want to put a restriction on squads who use 5 spiders to out power the competition, lets make each squad have to do 1 or 2 of their matches with 4 spiders (both squads in the same match, not a 5 spid vs a 4 spid). That or make the final match have that restriction. It'd be unfair either way to a handful of squads with or without.
