Until someone finds away to make squads want to play with less spiders than now without any limiting rules (settings change, map change, whatever), I think a 4 spider limit is a good alternative.

edit: Dameon has a point, I remember someone suggesting that a squad can't use the same lineup shipwise twice the same season. This is a good idea but it might lead to strange results if you choose the wrong lineups against some squad. I don't know.

There aint much arguing about wether it should be added or not, either you like it or you dont. And what does it matter if a pub player / LD LJ player would like to see a 4 spider limit or not (Those are mainly the ones wanting 4 spid limit), by asking each captain (which represents their squad) of the TWLB squads you got all the votes which matter.

The idea that it should be up to TWL captains to decide the fate of next TWLB's style is one of the worst I've heard. First of all, the captains of last season may not even captain next season and there will also be new squads next season who wouldn't get a say in this matter. Not to mention the fact that half the captains on this game are retarded fuks that I wouldn't trust to babysit my pet cockroach for an hour.

Ofcourse it should be done once the TWLB squads are chosen, many TWLB9 squads are ded. Wether the captains are retarded or not, they should be representing their squad, the TWLB players have chosen for the squad they're on.

If I would think it's better to use a lanc, than 5 spiders. I would vote against the 4 spider limit to have the advantage.

What the captains want is not always going to be what's best for the league, it will never goto a vote, ever. It is TWL Staff's decision so make a proposal quickly (you've only got 4 month!) or try it the old way, convince them openly in game and on the forum.

As some people might have mentioned already, not every squad have a player that's good at special ships... Keep it the way the squads want it. I think is their choice if they want to use special ships or not. :P

I have to think that a forum like this isn't a very good place to have a poll on the subject. It would be better if, say, a simple poll was setup on the TWL site that only TWLB playoff players could vote in. That would be a much more accurate and meaningful poll.

Anyway, 4 spider limit is really retarded. Fix the ships instead of just bandaid fixing the problem.

Not every squad has a Nockm, and they shouldnt be forced to play someone in wb, jav, or lanc that will hurt their performance. Hell, if they have 5 dominating spiders, they should be able to use them.

Actually I did mean if there is a limit. Because if you're forcing people to play something that's not 5 spids, you should give them the flexiblity to change/switch. If you're playing 4+1, changes/switches are more likely (if you're 5 spid, usually you just !sub).
