There is no need for it. If there is, tell me why.

Simply removing the two blocks sounds PERFECT to me for now. It's a minimal map change and it's something that should only affect a defending cram - which is what we wanted in the first place.

Using the block to warp yourself out to spawn is an absolutely lame way to gain a base-portal. Takes no skill at all.


Someone just make the change as shown in the picture below and upload it to a test arena. I think it's pointless talking further until we have some real player-feedback about it.

Obviously TW is full of newbie basers that can't adapt to a simple change. Nockm included.


Only lame thing about basing is that everything came down to cramming 5 spids into 2 pixels space, 2 sharks repping and dying and terr sitting in one spot the whole goddamn game.

Sharking lost its purpose and required skilled because sharks dont mine anymore.
No one is using lanc, which is one of the best ships in base if used properly.
Wb and Jav are pretty much not used at all, and even if they are, there is like 1 base wb (that doesnt play anymore, Div) and like few base javs worth of playing.

That is lame. Blocks in base won't change map and style of playing drastically, so newbies won't start crying when they realise they suck at everything else but cram. Using blocks to port is innovative. Adapt.

I don't mind adapting. I'm one of those least likely to whine about adapting. However I do not want to bother to adapt to low-quality changes just because some guy on a high horse thought it was a good idea. Okay, time for constructive criticism now =)


Oh I see, so the disappearing block is to give the chance that the cramming terr can be warped out to spawn? If so that's pretty good, but giving the ability for cheap base-ports is totally unecessary.

I know the situation is (arguably) bad right now, but I'd say having a warp-door (that's what it is) inside the base is too much of a game-play change. It's not that I don't like change, it's just that a change that's too big is less likely to please everyone.

I dont like the base w/o any doors at all bc then the defending cram will be to weak regardless of what sharks or team u have. All it would take is 1 enemy shark to repel ur terr out of range and nothing would be there to stop it. Its not that i dont want the cram to become weaker, bc i do. I hate attacking cram for 7 minutes strait b4 u get into base as much as everyone else. I just think that removing the blocks completly isnt a good solution to this.

Disappearing block would not be chance for cramming terr to get warped out, but would not make a completley open base like one without any block where you couldn't hold cram.
It's not warp-door either but a change to total-removing-of-block change, and I propesed it to make change LESSER than what you'd have with no blocks. Plus how many times would you have the door "open" like 10 times in 10 minutes

Lining wasn't like "WHOOOSH! They got in!", it needed some work to break too, but the annoying situation of 8 minutes trying to break the defense never happened.

Righto, about that strategy, I know it wasn't your main point, but there's just one little problem. The block would have to have about 1 sec timing. Because if the team is really that much under pressure, the terr is usually in bit of a hurry. And that place where the terr would have to wait for the random timed block to appear is really sucky place to be, lots of spid coming underflag.
