As said b4 basing evolved into the Cram. We are stuck with the cram. I dont see how it is productive to MAKE teams go back to lining. Instead of doing that work on how to weaken the cram a tad more.

I dont see us having to weaken the cram to much more. I mean from what i seen last season there was alot more crams broke then prior seasons. Maybe a little more time b4 a shark can attach will help, or just something stupid like that will help it. I dont see removing those blocks totaly being a help. I think that will just make TWLB caos.

Hero: I believe we had to attack a-s's cram for a little bit of time last playoffs :P Plus i was talking about in any basing situation, not just TWL. I mean could of been .?go base that i was attakin cram the whole time too

As I said it was NOT chaos before cram.

Besides, removing those blocks doesn't destroy cram completely, it just means if they want to cram, terr needs to go further into the cram making him more vulnerable and might force him to warp, and even if he doesn't go there, if sharks time it right, the enemy sharks won't get that close to rep the terr around too much. Of course this makes cramming harder, but that was the whole idea.

Even now lining isn't THAT much weaker than cram. If cram gets weakened a bit, lining could again be an option, anyways. I can't see why you insist on having a cram.

Why am i a moron? As i stated on the 1st line it says i believe we need to weaken the cram a "TAD". And the 2nd line u highlighted was me saying that we dont need to weaken it much more...aka a TAD.

Go practice to win a title instead of rambling and pointing out stupid stuff.

          • Why do we have to weaken it a tad when we can destroy it?

Flagroom fights are 100 times more fun than either defending or attacking a cram. Let's see more of them.

Fit what Cig is trying to say is it takes a long time to destroy it, usually around 5-10minutes against a good squad. So he is proposing that if we weaken the cram a bit, by doing some sort of shit to it, we will be able to break it more often therefore will be more flagroom battles.
              the price is right, bitch.

              • Can we delete this stupid ass post? If your a TWL squad you should already have spiders, or even a jav, that are good enough to push as a team and break a cram. Disapearing blocks? Wow....

Because part of TWLB is defending the base and also attacking the base. If it was always FR fights it would just be caos. Sure they are more fun then attacking a cram, but i dont think it would be fun if it wsa 15 minutes of FR fighting.

Like i said above, i dont think the cram needs to be destroyed. THis past season there were alot more interesting games and alot of crams were broken (there were very few 15 minute cram games). If we'd just weaken it a little bit more then we'd have more fr fights like u want, yet we'd have some defending/attacking as well.

When ur working on something like this u gotta work at it slowly and piece by piece. Not just remove the whole thing and say we fixed the problem.

                  • The cram is even evolving as we speak and as one can observe in this past season. The cram of TWL6 is diff from that of TWL7 and prob will continue to change in TWL8 (I hope I have all the season #'s correct).

Still, I think it'd be nice to get a new base (imho that means a new map (multiple entrances)). And the ability to use all the ships TW and SS has to offer (all 8 of them) in basing. I don't think this will ever happen until TW gets some radical change whether it be map change or setting change or rule change.

I think I asked this already, but why do you think there wouldn't be defense without cram?

Also: why do you think removing those blocks would kill cram completely? Didn't you read my last post?

                      • I think part of this whole issue is the fact that there is barely any action and strategy going on in other places of the map. Mid is abandoned ... as well as tube for the most part and even the side entrances aren't used that much imho. A successful map to me, should have strategies and action occurring at every part of the map. Right now I only see it happening in the base entrance.

First of all, what's wrong with most of the action concentrating in one place? And mid is not abandoned. As a basebird and as a spider, I fly in mid a lot when the other team is attacking. There is lots of fighting in mid too. Side entrances ARE used a lot and is a faster way to get in mid when the main tube is completely full of enemies. (So it is used a lot too.)

Of course the mid mostly doesn't last too long, but the whole idea in it is to delay enemy from starting their attack in base. If the other team would just wait in cram, it wouldn't work that well.

Well as far as i know the best method of defending the TWLB map that we are currently using is the Cram. I dont see how it is productive to eliminate this stratagy and force ppl to use a different one.

I think that removing those blocks would kill the cram bc all it takes is a laggy shark to repel the terr out of place and then t he cram is broke. I think that a map w/o the blocks was tested b4 and it wasnt very good.

Yeah that's the point. To reduce the effectiveness of the cram, but still make it possible to do so. A strategy shouldn't hinge upon the placement of two single cell blocks. If it does then it says something about a team's skill in the first place.

Was that in some sorta dream or did other people actually witness this too?

Anyway like I said, get this tested or get people who have tested it already. Otherwise this is just speculation.
