will season 8 playoff squads automatically qualify for season 9?

I'd like the auto-requalification to be destroyed completely. I personally think it takes away some of the competition in twl. If every squad had to requalify, each year, it would increase intensity and overall squad activity. Letting people in automatically, as nice as the idea is, takes away from the game. With older veterans leaving all the time, we need to change what little things we can to make twl as competitive as we can. :wub:

You've got a good squad Jason, always liked Diso personally. I don't think it's their fault tho, it's this weird lag attacking TW. Are Euros having the same problems in other zones? I'd also like to hear from Dock> or Priitk, to see what they think/are doing about it. It's affecting the game alot, and as for all you ppl from the US - i think the server should be in Canada. Just because.

2.02 All playoff Squads that participated in the previous Trench Wars Leagues season will be granted automatic admission to play in this season. At a date to be later disclosed by the League Operators, the highest-ranking TWD Squads in each division will fill the remaining TWL spots of that division. Squads that dissolved at any time during the previous season, or prior to the new season's start, will have to re-enter Trench Wars Leagues through the TWD system. Squads that intend to return must also retain at least 50% of their roster from the previous season to remain seeded in TWL.

I don't see why it would be any different this time around nor have I heard anything about it from league staff. Spastic will not make auto entry this seasons.

I don't feel like requalifying for lj or ld... It has always been this way, now leave it this way.... just make sure the 50% roster thingy is still intact... cause i think some squads have a totall rostermakeover after last twl.

The thing is auto-qualification works because those squads will make it to TWL either way (qualifyin or auto-qualified) but it also presents the problem it has for the past few seasons, the INACTIVITY specificaly by these auto-qualifying squads.

In some cases it dont affect anything much like -f- every year. They go MIA in off-season come back for the season and own it like nothing changed. Then you got squads like pallies and diso who make the playoffs, go super inactive then come back worst then the season b4. They still make playoffs but they arent near as good as they were the previous season.

I Think that auto-qualifyin is cool, but i also dont think it would hurt us to remove it completly. Afterall i think that this will make TWL more competative and those squasd will qualify either way.

What good does auto qualifying do? Making every squad requalify would make them have to earn their place by playing games off season, now squads that made playoffs last season and became utterly inactive can make it in and play some awesome no show's. Besides, it's more exciting if they'd have to, right? My squad would only have to qualify for TWLD if the rules don't change and that would be just boring.

- Making squads play more games: they become more competitive and they can get rid of inactiveness which sure is a problem with some squads. More games -> more happy people

- Squads that would have had a spot and have become inactive since last season would now be kicked off. I think there have been some examples of earlier playoff squads that have been just laughed at on the next season. Maybe squads like these would realize they have to practise before every season to stay alive and healthy.

- More squads have a chance at getting in which makes it even more exciting.

Thats the least we can do. The 50% thing is pretty dumb, by the time the next twl rolls around, that 50% aren't usually what they used to be. Stop being lazy, people complain on and on all twl about the level of competition, but then they're too lazy to re-qualify? Well fuck you hypocrits then, dont play twl, or at least dont bitch all Season long.
