    yea i red it afterwards, i thought about going up to 1070 or something afterwards even 1100. but then i saw Heavy (which i really think should get in) have 1093. but i also think the 16 top squads right now are really the 16 top squads regardless of their twd recent games

          heavy does play a lot of newbs, thats why their ave r is low. they also beat some squads that deserve to be in twl. my point is that ave r is not a concern here. squads that get fed rating intentionally to get in, and squads that get their only wins vs newbs are the problem..and no real stat thats out there now can really detect that..it needs to be done by the community as a whole. This TWL, though it will have some weaker squads, looks like it will really represent the best 16 squads at the time, but its also not the end of qualifying. some lamers might squeak in

            Rating of Opponents + Your Rating ... it's easy to formulate something. The question is what type of formula best takes into account the strength of the opponents you play, your wins and losses, number of games you've played etc.

              Personally i think TWLD hasnt really got anything to worry about....

              The big worry i think for TWL is lack of basers this year. I mean if we play 6 more games potentially flabby could be in TWLB at this rate....and basing is our worst league by far.

                          nethila you act like twl will actually require a certain number of ave rating points to qualify, but all you have said is "they have to be above 1000" which is stupid because look at a squad like ownage, they play 10 games vs $flabby$, and then one game vs a squad like elude, and they get like an 1100 rating, its stupid if you ask me

                          squads like quicksand razor shinobi (sk8 already qualified) play good squads constantly, quicksand plays almost all top 5 squads, mainly because there is no point in playing squads that you wont see in twl anyway

                          the other point id like to mention is, if a squad was formed today, and played the top 12-16th place squads, they would easily have a 1100+ rating, because all the squads are around 1200+ right now... the squads that have been around since way before this final reset, and played since the beginning started playing squads at 1000

                          not to mention squads like pirates, -f-, ancients etc who dont play many dd games are at or below 1000 right now, so it hurts a squads ave rating to actually play these twl squads

                          just a few thoughts...

                              I don't think teams that lose should lose pts ... they should not ever go under 1000 bc I'd rather have a team play a lot of games and not be discouraged about losing games.

                              In fact, losing a match should give you +1 or something like that. It encourages you to play everyone and anyone, and it give pts to squads that are very active (something we want in TWD). And +1 won't distort TWD ratings imho.

                              It isn't fair when we have teams which play a lot but are below 1000, because then we have squads forming which start out at 1000. Sorry, but I'd rather see squads who have worked hard and dispite losing, continue to play TWD. Newly formed squads should not have a higher rating than squads that play a lot (and lose a lot).

                                Anyways looking at the twdd ladder, whoa, so many decent squads that should make twl and could upset compared to last season, I think even if we increased it to 18 teams we would still be denying some good squads a TWL spot. For TWLD that is.
