Something got me thinking. Why is basing 8v8? Would it be better if we reconsidered #v# for basing? Just use your imagination ... I'm not expecting any changes at all.

8v8 is the best.
Ever play a hosted base game? When there is 20+ people in the flagroom, it is just a huge lagfest with players flashing and teleporting all over the screen. The game just can't handle a lot of people in a small area.
On the other hand, 7v7 works fine, but I personally don't like playing with 6 players or less.sdg

i actually enjoyed playing on the metal gear pub
it's like 15v15 capture the flag. I think they have 15v15 in metal gear flagging league as well.

no MGFL isnt 15v15, they mite host it like that sometimes, but its usualy anywhere between 5v5 - 8v8 (i think) Its the best of 3 rounds and each squadcaptain gets to chose the # for there round. I thought it was supid bc some teams did 5v5 despite having 8 ppl.
Our basing with 8 is good bc its a nice decent amount where ppl dont start spiking and laggin that bad, i think you could push it to 9v9 or even 10v10 but that starts gettin risky and seems very chaotic to have that many spiders vs each other with only 2 sharks._o_2NASRALLAH

I would have thought people would lean more towards lowering the sizes rather than increasing them. Of course, people seem to enjoy crowded and busy flag room battles and might think the more, the merrier. I personally feel you get to display more individual skill when you have more room to maneuver, though I guess others like the pressure of a crowded base.

Some days it's hard enough to get a team of 8 together for a BD, other days you've got 10 people sitting in spec in addition to your team in. I think things are fine the way they are. imo, 7v7 and 8v8 is the perfect number right now. Unless the map get changed, the base is too crowded if the number is any greater than 16 ppl. 9v9 could work. and as for numbers below 7v7, been there, tried then, and hated them.1 + 1 = 1

i think you need to consider working the 8v8 number down when the playerbase can no longer sustain it, but this year there seems to be enough solid teams to make the league at least half entertaining, although painfully predictableI'm just a middle-aged, middle-eastern camel herdin' man
