If twl actually started on time there would be mass panic and confusion among the tw community. I predict week 1 of twl to be played around early march

EDIT: About the part that "people use their free time to make bots"... I sure as hell wouldn't want to waste any extra of my free time coding bots for a game, I'd just improve on the old ones, since they were already pretty much good enough!

Im pretty sure we finished TWL last year with bots, why dont we just use the same ones? No need in making a SUPER bot that will do the same thing as the last. Sure there were a couple of replay games, but that didn't change the standings at all.

what bot did you use for twbd tourny? did it crash? wasnt watching. if not, use that one and post on twl site the stats that the bot posts after the game.

The problem with that is that then we can't have any of the statistic pages on the TWL site, TWLM won't work, etc. Of course none of those things are really needed, but we might as well have them I guess.

Also, I guess it would be more complicated and take more time to determine the standings, the +/- of teams, especially in TWLB etc.

It's not my call, but I guess the TWL operators really want these things to be working. It really is a pain in the ass to have to do everything manually.

Also, as far as the old bots go, they are are no good. Remember how many crashes there were?

the thing is, its not about just hosting the game properly. if thats all the bot need to do, we'd just use matchbot, or even twbots will do the job. its the fact that all data has to get into the database so standings, stats, gameplays can be updated automatically.. last season's bots handle the gameplay part near to perfect near the end, but its connection to database was dead dead since the beginning of the season. tw staffs had to go into the database and manually add all those stats, and change games from "scheduled" to "played"
