I was just merely stating that someone could have said the same thing about this person, and look what he did to SSCX. I'm not saying Sika would destroy TW, but the possiblity is there. One person can destroy a zone, so it is important who is trusted and who isn't.

Sika doesn't need to do that. He is an amazing player, and just wants to help. He's made already helped out TW so much for making ?go tourny and other stuff.

Thats the facts.

i personally dont care about sika doing the bots. it wont matter as long as the host of the games pay attention to the excessively laggy ones during matches and spec them when need be. it wont matter as long as staff tries and pays attention.

For me, it is about trust and respect and about how people should earn both respect and trust. Once someone violates this, it isn't earned back easily. Stab, for example and IMO, has now violated this in my book. Of course there are many others who, in my mind, fall into the same category.

Nah, it would be a lose-lose situation regardless. He's an exceptional player and people like to blame it on "cheating," instead of their own lack of skill. Thats the problem some of you guys have with him. So even if he helps and things run well, there will be people who are paranoid and won't appreciate the effort; making some crazy conspiracy theory in the process. Hell, ?go tourny is probably one of those most popular arenas in the zone, if not the most popular. He did that because he wanted to help enhance the zone. along with other events he's help make that are fun.

But hey, that's fine. I'm in no hurry to play TWL either. But there are a lot of people who do want to get this started, Sika would be your best chance. But if I was him, I wouldn't do it. Not the way some of you people act.

I was wondering why the servers were down. I hope this guy doesn't get fired. I also hope SSCX will not end, I like SVS and EG.

And I think Asmodeus is right, as is Nethila, finding a person with the will and knowledge to program bots in his spare time is impossible (I wouldn't even make my own banner for this game ).

Secondly, the anonymity of this game is fairly high, so it wouldn't be so hard to destroy TW's botcore, just for the sick fun of it and get away with it.
I only know nice people in this game, but I can imagine that there are some nasty guys out there just waiting for such a change.

Btw, I've been away from this game for over a year...didn't Mythrandir used to program the bots or am I wrong?

I can't speak for everyone, but most of the people that are blaming his incredible games on cheating are basing it on the fact that he's been accused OFFICIALLY of cheating and of things he's done in the past. You don't see people blaming every person that's really great, of cheating. Are people blaming Blood, Raspi, Vihta of cheating? (the list goes on of course)

I for one, don't have a stance on whether or not he cheats, but if staff can't trust him for whatever reason, they can't trust him, end of story. Then again, if they were to go the extra mile to look OVER the code, and have Sika do the grunt work, I could see this all working out... but then again, it's back to the old, 'okay, so who do we trust to look over that code.'

This is where you get to make a decision. Do you trust some whiny no-name chaos newbie (cerium) or most of the SSC sysops? Including DoCk< and Mr. Ekted (the other programmer of Continuum). One could say I was banfreed from TW because I had done some bot work for them, but honestly, if DoCk< thought I was really cheating, would he let me back? Also it should be noted that Ekted said the "proof" cerium wrote indicates in no way I was actually cheating.

If a person is so benevolent, then why not excuse yourself from any league play and not be on any squad's roster?

That makes it a win-win situation. He not only would be helping the community, but would show everyone who doubts him that they are wrong. He could still be in his squad's chat, enjoying the camaraderie and friendships.

To be honest, I floated this idea several years ago for all staffers. No reason that someone can not simply take a leave of absence from staff if they really felt the need to play in a certain league season. But why not remove yourself, and your squad, from the 'line of fire' and plethora of accusations, finger pointing, suspicions?

But Sika is very important to our team. Why the hell would he want to accomodate you that much, that he has to sacrifice playing too? No offense, Eph. But why would he care if you, or anyone else "doubts" him? If you guys doubt him, fine lol. Thats not his problem. Heck, it would save him his own personal time by helping with TWL bots and getting this started for many eager people.

As for your theory of removing our squad from the "accusations," those people can shove that shit up their ass, for all I care. Because if thats the gratitude he would get for helping, then he shouldn't help those people anyways. Its a game. If people are going to be paranoid idiots like that, well then, have fun crying about when TWL will start.

regardless of how knowledgable he is, it seems to me that his credibility is pretty much out the window

edit: so the issue is pretty much dead- someone else will eventually step up and do it. whether or not that is sooner or later is up in the air. but eventually, it'll happen.

Ppl have always been paranoid about sika, just cause he is such an exceptional player. But I tell you, he doesn't cheat and is very much killable in every league. Every good player knows that. -F- never won only because of sika, they won it because they teamed well and played well as a whole.

How many of the vets or the ppl who actually play against him you see whining in here? They know he can be killed and is no god, nor a cheater.

Good luck getting twl running with ppl like that in power. What do they contribute?

And eph, what point is there for sika to work on the bots and not play? Why don't you stop playing and posting on these forums, lets see that first. Does that make sense?
