I write the way I do for two reasons,
1. that is 'who I am', how I talk, how I write
2. I often post from work

I am a partner and VP of Engineering at a technology company. I am surrounded by very sharp hardware and software engineers, along with very exacting development cycles, processes, procedures. As such, being highly analytical and very precise is not only absolutely the way I have to be during the 12-13 hours a day that I am at work, but is what has made me successful in my career. Additionally, since I also almost always post from work, I tend to be in 'work mode' or 'work frame of mind'.

I also feel it is degrading for people to 'talk down' to others. I write/talk to you guys the same way I write/talk to everyone, I don't 'dummy down' or break into 6th grade language. Nor do I try to write/speak above anyone's head. If someone asked for clarification, I have always been happy to provide it.

I am sorry that 'the way I am' has apparently rubbed people the wrong way. I am sorry if people take issue with the 'way I am'.
But all of this being what it may, I have a simple resolution. This is my last post in these forums. I am sure that these forums will be a better place without my 'analytical' dribble to clutter up all the other highly amusing and 'street credit' witty posts.
