This line looks very similar in skill level to Dragons starting line last year. Picking names and throwing them all together is easy to do. Why has only 3 squads won TWLD pretty much since it started?

Having players that can steal a game themself? You want one player to shine every week? Take away the game handles and take away personal recs. Theres 5 ships and 50 kills needed. Having a player steal a game imo is luck.

This is about TWL , not TWD....who really gives a damn about numbers? 5 players 50 kills. Randedl your predictions seems based on names rather than the overall squad.

Any squad that has more players than really needed for TWL is asking for trouble. Leaves decisions at game time on who to play or not. Pick the wrong person one week and the whole week can be lost.

Heavys starting line is very well known now. You would think after playing them so many times they would be easy?

I think it actually is more based on games I've played against the different squads. I don't know what dragon did last season - I didn't really watch. That said, they seemed to be a Shinobi type squad with a bunch of random individual players who couldn't add up to a greater unit as a 5 person team. Note: I didn't put Shinobi top 8 either.

I've played with a few people on United Force (3/5 of those people were on the original Grapevine), and their style seems more oriented towards those 30 minute 5vs5 games than Heavy's. In fact, I've read a few different people complaining about how TWD games against them always go 20 minutes. You guys just seem to rush in without too much forthought. While this may work in a 4vs4 game against inexperienced people or guys who don't really need to win on a game to game basis, TWL is quite different imo.

I think in a TWDD, where others think to kill, I think to stay alive. How else do you win? Of course you're going to go after people, but why not orient yourself around staying alive first, and then picking your chance to attack rather than suicide, as I've noticed has been on the rise.

I think UF is a bit better than most people are willing to acknowledge. Granted it is a fairly new squad, but having been on it for as long as I have I can see that the core of the squad is as it should be. Not going to say we're going to win, but I'm very much looking forward to the chance to try.

Cheers to Heavy for sticking around and such, but if you tried harder in TWD and spent less time worrying about how you can get get better or if new recruits will make a difference, I'm sure you would be as good as you say you are.

Heavy is a solid team no doubt about it. They will do good when twl comes around. They have played together all this time(before last season,season,off-season) with a small group of guys so they must be used to eachother ans know what theyr team mates will do in a game.

Some squad may also have the players with big names like(last season: dragon, pallies) but they rly do good? No they really didn't do as good as every one thought they would and no one thought that heavy would do good last season but they did. Doesn't that prove something to you guys or do you wanna close your eyes and walk away from this fack?

It doesn't prove shit. What has been is never going to be again, so if they do good in this up-coming season then I would see that being a "fack" nobody could walk away from.

If you want to be good you have to be good, not have done or been good in the past. Proven "fack".

Whether or not a squad like Heavy gets in playoffs will be strongly based on their schedule.. they would have to win all the games they're supposed to win, if not they would have to pull upsets against squads like -f-, gv, syndicate, sk8 etc. which I don't see happening.

With that said I think Heavy will get in playoffs, probably a lot easier than most people would expect. From what I've seen they don't rely on a 4v4 rushing style, I think you guys are mistaking them for quicksand. Apok/Slangin Rock/Annoyance/Jones/Caos is a good line and I think the fact that they play with eachother in almost every game will help them more than hurt them.

And I'd be willing to bet TWL will start in around a month. They've been testing the old TWL bots and they currently have people programming new bots. http://twl.trenchwars.org they've even been messing with the twl site a bit.

I don't think Apok/Slangin Rock/Annoyance can play cause of the stricter lag limits..

why? Apok is the only one of them that's usually around 100-120 MS, and that's still good enough for TWL, others are around 60-80.
