I think it's stupid that you play 1 rnd in reg season and it's best of three in playoffs. Im a bigger fan of best of three, but im an even bigger fan of consistency. If you're gonna do one round, do it in the playoffs too, like the NFL. It doesnt make sense that you prepare for one way the whole season, but then playoffs it's a different style game.

The set-up is just fine, in my opinion. The playoffs should be 3 rounds because the stakes are higher and it does allow you to eliminate any fluke rounds. The better team always wins the best of three rounds. In regular season, it allows the underdogs to play a great round and steal a win. So lets keep this thing going the way it is.

LOL if you haven't figured out that luck is about 50% of any 1-hit-kill lag2win shooterships game by now, then I got nothin to say.

In terms of the NFL or any sporting game, I'd see playing 3 rounds as the same as playing the team 3 times in a row, it doesn't change how you play the game... the amount of time IN a game or how each game is broken up, is the real time related issue, not amount of games played. However, this rule doesn't really apply for a video game, since the reason those guys don't play a team 3 rounds in a row is because of physical endurance and because of, 'why the hell would we play 3 different games against the same team in one day?'

So what's my point? Oh, I guess I don't really have a large point, none of this really effects me anyway, I was just playing devil's advocate. However, if it were up to me, I'd keep it the same way because of time restraints during the regular season. I would NOT change it either way because of an issue of consistant game play, as I don't see that as a factor.

I am a fan of 1 round games because it brings out the competitiveness in both squads.

Here is why 3 rounds is a bad choice for regular season:

Say you do a 3 round game and one of the two squads wins the first round. We will call the team that won first round Squad A and the team that lost Squad B. If not wining it by an extremely small margin, Squad A is very likely to lose second round and win third. Both squads will obviously try their best in the third round but the team that won the first round is likely to win the game. Correct me if I am mistaken but that is the way 60% if not higher of all twd games end. I could be wrong but that is the way I see it.

The point is that in one round games both squads put really good effort into that round. The better squad will usually come out on top if not then you can call it an upset. You get upsets in sports all the time. Anyways what the public will get is one short, fun and exciting game to watch.

I like the one round thing, it gives you less room for error, adding a new dimension to the challenge. You have to be able to come out of the corner swinging, it requires players to "warm-up" faster in order to win. All or nothing... definately more intense.
