This will be my final post. I will not be back. The 0-12 just helped prove that I shouldn't bother anymore. I was going to quit SS entirely at the end of this season, anyway. If I won, I had nothing left to prove and could have quite quietly. If I lost, it would have shown that I, like randedl, will never win a twl, so I might as well stop trying. TWL was the only thing left on my "todo" list before leaving. After today, it is pretty obvious GV won't make it, especially with the way I've been playing. Add in the fact that TW has become a cheater haven (people getting banned and still allowed to come back more than once), along with lag getting out of control. It just isn't worth it anymore.

Too bad the 4,000 hour mark I just hit is pretty pointless now.

    Good bye and good riddens.

4,000 hour mark was always pointless. if gv is sucking, dont quit, just join a squad that has a chance. try synd, we have a good shot....one person even predicted us to finish as high as 7th in LD this season.

I wouldn't want a 3rd match (best of 3) TWLD final score of 50-49 decided on a spawn. Argue it all you want about it being chance and equal opportunity for being spawned, but if it involves any luck, I think it should be removed for the most part. Remember TWL is about skill, not luck, even if it is "equal luck".

But like I said before, a GOOD suggestion and implementation needs to be decided upon and tested for any anti-spawning method to be placed in TWL (TWLD and TWLJ).
Random stray kills aren't luck? How about an easy rush kill up close, and you miss? The person who should have died lucks out and flys back to his team. Listen, luck is everywhere. You'll never escape that. Skill goes a long way, but luck will always be around you, no matter how you want to slice it up.

Spawns have been apart of TWL. So you want to change that now? No thanks. If it ain't broken, don't fix it. The person who gets spawned, he'll learn to live with it when he gets to spawn the same guy next time.

                1) Random strays happen bc one player fails to concentrate and pay attention for a second.
                2) An easy rush kill miss is either bc you have no aim, the nme fakes you out, or you fake yourself out.
                3) Luck is everywhere and skill goes a long way ... I agree.
                4) If it can make it better, make it better.

Not if you're fighting someone and a shot comes blasting in out of no where. And the person who shot that was shooting at someone else, snickering at the same time because he killed someone else who he didnt even see on his (or their) radar.

And an easy rush kill means you have no aim?? I've seen some players who routinely make those shots miss those on rare occasions. And when they do, the person who should have died, thinks to themselves, "wow, I got lucky there."

I'm glad you agree with #3, because it's the truth of the matter. Case closed.

there is plenty of skill in the game anyway. the luck actually makes it a lot more fun in my opinion. when i played dsb i hardly ever got less than 2:1 rec, never had a "choke round", bad game, etc... when you have to land 6 or 7 bullets on someone there just isnt much luck involved. there were hardly ever upsets in dsb (when i played). 9 of 10 matches could be predicted with almost 100% certainty. im glad tw has a luck element.

I'm just wondering who you played for in DSB and if it was in DSBL. In DSB, teaming makes a bigger difference than in TW. To me, that kind of skill is more fun than throwing in a little more luck.

I can't help but disagree with you.

                          1) If a shot comes out of nowhere while you are fighting someone and kills you, I'd call it either good teaming on the part of the opponent, or poor decision making on your part for engaging an enemy when you sensed bullets/enemies nearby. If you couldn't react to the situation it's because you put yourself in that situation. It's less about luck in my books as opposed to teaming and decision-making.
                          2) As for the easy rush kill I don't really know what you're getting out. Ppl choke. Even really really good players choke occassionally. Skill doesn't always mean you get the kill or win. Skill just means that compared to another person you'll win more times. It doesn't guaruntee anything.

To me spawning is very much different from the "luck" situations you're describing.

Anyways we can argue all day. I'm willing to bet nothing will happen as a result of these discussions anyways. So you can have your spawns.

This game is mental too. If you're going to cry and whine over a spawn kill and post a message about it, you're not mentally tough enough in the first place. Its a good indicator on how people will respond. Do people still keep thinking about a spawn during the course of a game, throwing their whole game off. Or will they put it behind them and just keep playing, REALIZING at the same time, that it will balance out eventually. I'm telling you, I've played TWLD for a number of years now, it will always balance out at the end.

Spawning might not be a part of SVS, but it sure as hell has always been a part of TWL. If a player is any good, he won't let a spawn or two rule his game.
