  • Twl Disqualifying

Ok is it just me or has disqualifying squads for one persons actions has gotten out of hand. First Grapevine gets removed from twlb before twl even starts. I understand the reasoning behind it and that those are the "rules", but use a little logic. Grapevine should be in twlb. They're better than shinobi (no offence shinobi) at basing. But because of these "rules" they don't get to play.

Then Speed gets their match forfeited because of, again one person trying to evade a ban. Let them replay the match. Problem solved. Even if speed didn't play ghast everyone that did play in that match was at least +3. It just seems to me that twl should take the stick out of their ass and just let people play. Granted there needs to be rules. Granted if rules are broken there needs to be consequences, but maybe these consequences need to be revised. If twl continues to have all these problems what incentive is there for those who have been here for so long to come back? Pretty soon twl will just be filled with pubbers and elimmers.

I couldn't disagree more. Without harsh rules, theres no punishment for cheating. In Grapevines case, they had a CAPTAIN cheat. They only got kicked out of 1 league, this is because it was before TWL. If Mythril had cheated during TWL as a Captain, the entire squad should be removed.

As far as the single Speed TWLD game goes, you play 5 guys in a twld match, and one of them cheats, and you think you deserve to get the match played over again? It doesn't matter if he's cheating in using a foreign program or cheating as in evading a ban, he's still cheating. The person in question deserves to be kicked out of TWL for the entire season, maybe even the season after that, and the squad deserves to pay the price for having someone on there roster who clearly lacks the maturity to play fair.

He didn't think enough of his team to win without him cheating, he didn't think enough of his team to care about the consequences. The Captains fucked up in recruiting him, they all pay the price.

Let me make a quick Edit:: If Cloth or Abos knew that slaughter was aliased and that he was tw banned, I think the match should be forfeited. But because there is no really way to tell and chances are no one will actually admit to it, just replay the match, or at least make that an option to ancs. If ancs accepts then speed will replay them and it'll show ancs has alot of integrity. If they don't then w/e Ancs have a win and speed will continue to whine.

There's no reason to be leniant for inept captains.

Want to know how the captains should know?

            1. Don't recruit someone you've never heard of. Shocking I know, but you don't see the upper 'elite' squads getting nailed for this now do you? Thats because Randedl or Disqualifier or whomever doesn't recruit no names.

            2. If you're suspicious of someone, talk to Nethila and get a check done. Catch the guy before the game.

            3. Know you're guys, don't recruit people who have cheated before, black ball them right out of the game.

heh, mythril might not be a no-name, but i think he was caught cheating before, yet he had an important position in randedl's squad. I'm not saying you're wrong, just saying every cap makes a mistake once in a while.

Lighten the fuck up? Seriously, has everyone forgotten that we're all human and that this is a fucking FREE game and not the world series of baseball or something? As long as the temptation to cheat is there, there will always be a few cheaters, and those with good names surprisingly cheat. I'm not saying totally disregard cheaters, but is this appropriate? Punish them yes, but be decisive on how you punish and whom you punish. This isn't 3rd grade where if one kid was talking during class the entire class has to comeback after school.

                    punish punish punish!!!!

even if its a free game and there will most likely be cheaters it doesnt mean that we should approve of cheating.

Yes. Have you forgotten that this is a free game on a server that is paid for by someone who gets to make the rules? If you don't follow the rules and get caught, you have to learn to accept the consequences.
