if this rule wasn't in place, you would see never-ending spam in those games that have over 100 people watching..

a staffer would always have to lock pubchat whenever that happens..

So your saying people are still spamming gg from 5 years ago in twld? It stops, eventually. People get tired of it, usually after about a 1 minute, 2 if its a big game that was an upset.

haha - and your also saying it's easier to ban individual people instead of doing *lockpubchat or whatever it is?

I just think the punishment is too harsh for the crime - especially when it's affecting the outcome of later twl matches...I think the following would be suitable:

-a simple warning
-a *shutup
-a lock of pub chat if spam is excessive and done by numerous individuals

if spam continues past the warning:
-1 day ban

now look, a mod can solve the problem without having to ruin somebodies fun who just got carried away...w/e I just think me typing like 5 pixels more did nobody any harm...and eva ur biased because it was ur squad I was 'gging'

I didn't make the rule, but I have to agree with it. Spamming is illegal in all arenas of Trench Wars, why make an exception for TWL arenas? That's like saying everyone can say the 'N word' in TWL arena's and it's ok, but not ok in other arenas...
I didn't make the rule, but it's not that hard to follow it. If you can't control yourself enough to say gg once or twice instead of 4-8 times or whatever you did, you probably needed this one day ban more than you'll ever know.

how else is metal headz suppose to try and push for a removal of the rule if not by posting here then? He clearly said he didnt want his own ban to be removed but only make sure he can spam in the next games sure you might not agree with him but he needs to get attention to the rule so he can get more supporters on his side. I dont think its possible that twl staff will remove this rule tho as far too many people are enjoying it and not that many people seem to be against it..

It is true that those spamming are to be served with a warning and perhaps even silenced before being banned. But those procedures apply as normal TW rules. TWL rules are more specific regarding spam, and if it is stated such in the comment of a ban, I've no reason to argue it's merit.
TWL games are logged with the server for validity of results and such. Having people spam meaningless "gg"s afterwards does nothing bar taint that log. I'm sure that's the reason this no spam rule was implemented, and even though it's not exactly a big deal, it would not kill you to keep things concise and professional by steering clear of spam in the most important events this zone has to offer.
I'm not exactly in a state of mind to care what happens throughout the course of TWL. I do however know that staff goes through a lot of effort to run it. The most you can do is give it a little dignity by respecting it's very simple rules.

IMO the rule in its current form is a bit overkill.
